Affiliate Store

An affiliate store is a full e-commerce website with instant products that can be selected from those on offer by a fulfillment center. An affiliate store can customize its store-front by choosing a theme, and offer its own designs or a selection of designs offered by the fulfillment center.

Agent Commission

An agent commission is paid to an affiliate store as a 'thank you' from the fulfillment center for signing up a sub-affiliate store.  For every sale that a sub-affiliate makes, a small commission is paid to the affiliate store directly above it.  See also Sub-Affiliate Store.

Domain Name Registrar

A domain name registrar is a company accredited by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) to sell Internet domain names to the public. Click here to see a list of ICANN domain registrars.  You may want to check if your registrar supports CNAMEs or domain aliases if you want to use your domain name in your affiliate system.

Direct To Garment Digital Printing (DTG)

Direct To Garment Digital Printing is a method of applying textile water-based inks to a fabric using a digital printer. The image is cured onto the garment usually with a heat press.  The process is quick and, unlike silkscreen printing, it is not expensive to output small quantities or personalized designs.

Dye Sublimation

Dye sublimation is a printing process commonly used for team uniforms that are 100% polyester.  During the printing process, the dye 'sublimates' or turns into a gas from a solid state under high temperature and permeates (enters the pores of) the fabric.  When the fabric cools the dye returns to a solid state and becomes part of the fabric.  This is why you would not be able to feel a typical raised print on a dye-sub printed polyester fabric.

Fulfillment Center

A fulfillment center receives the orders from all its affiliate stores which may include one or more that it owns itself.  As such, it is obliged to fill the orders either by embellishing the blank items itself, therefore has the equipment to do so, or, by outsourcing this to a printer or embroiderer AND shipping the items.

Payment Gateway

Accepting payments online requires an application service provider that can authorize payments securely through the Internet.  These providers are required to have the systems in place to protect the consumer from the dangers of fraud on the Internet and make sure that sensitive information that passes through from the buyer to the online merchant is secure and the same goes with the information that passes from the merchant to the payment processor.  For more information check the PCI Compliance Guide.  Note:  DecoNetwork does not support all payment gateways.

Portal Mode

A portal in DecoNetwork provides designs to all the affiliates of a fulfillment center and earns a commission when his or her design is chosen for embellishment on a garment or item.

When you switch to Portal Mode, your designs are made available to the affiliates of the fulfillment center you signed up under.  They can elect to add your products/designs to their store.   As a designer, you earn on a commission basis.

Sub-Affiliate Store

The DecoNetwork system can help you grow your business exponentially because it allows the creation of unlimited tiers of affiliate stores.  For the purpose of defining 'agent commission' the term 'sub-affiliate' refers to the affiliate store that has signed up under the affiliate store directly above it.
