The Online Designer is a design tool that allows you to create customized products within minutes. Using the Online Designer, your customers can see a mockup of exactly how their design will look on a product before they buy it. You can modify the behavior of the Online Designer specifically for screen printing so it best matches your business case.
Prerequisites
- You must have administrator access to use this feature
- Screen Printing is enabled as a decoration process you support
To Configure Screen Printing Designer Settings:
- Log into your DecoNetwork Website.
- Browse to Admin > Decoration Processes > Screen Printing.
- Select Designer Settings.
The Designer Settings are shown in the main work area.
- Configure the Designer Settings.
Designer text settings
- Allow Text toggles the availability of text on/off in the Designer system-wide.
- In store-front designer toggles text on/off in the Designer in the online store.
- In store admin (decorated products) designer toggles text on/off in the Designer when creating decorated products.
- In Business Hub designer toggles text on/off in the Designer in Business Hub.
Designer stock design settings
- Allow stock designs toggles the availability of store designs on/off in the Designer system-wide.
- In store-front designer toggles store designs on/off in the Designer in the online store.
- In store admin (decorated products) designer toggles store designs on/off in the Designer when creating decorated products.
- In Business Hub designer toggles store designs on/off in the Designer in Business Hub.
User uploaded design settings
- Allow users to use their existing saved designs toggles the availability of previous saved user uploads on/off in the Designer system-wide.
- In store-front designer toggles previous saved user uploads on/off in the Designer in the online store.
- In store admin (decorated products) designer toggles previous saved user uploads on/off in the Designer when creating decorated products.
- In Business Hub designer toggles previous saved user uploads on/off in the Designer in Business Hub.
- Allow users to upload new designs toggles the ability for the user to upload new designs on/off in the Designer system-wide.
- In store-front designer toggles the visibility of the Upload button on/off in the Designer in the online store.
- In store admin (decorated products) designer toggles the visibility of the Upload button on/off in the Designer when creating decorated products.
- In Business Hub designer toggles the visibility of the Upload button on/off in the Designer in Business Hub.
Color Management configures how the designer will handle color for the screen printing process.
- Automatically track used colors (if disabled the customer will manually specify how many colors they are using) When enabled, screen print colors will be automatically recognized and image colors will be reduced to meet your process maximum. Under normal circumstances, this feature should be enabled to eliminate customer-induced errors.
- Limit colors to palettes When enabled, screen print color matching and recognition will be limited to the colors defined in your process color palettes. When disabled, screen print color matching and recognition will match to the closest possible color even ones not in your palettes. We recommend leaving this enabled along with a properly configured palette matching your available screen print ink colors.

Apply white base to product color type
These settings let you define what product colors require a white base, in accordance with the product's definition of its color being either white, light, or dark. Color definitions are set in the product's properties. (Admin > Products > Edit > Colors). This may have an impact on the pricing of the product, as set by the Decoration Pricing page. (Admin > Decoration Processes > Decoration Pricing) .Designer advanced settings
Each option toggles the use of advanced text/image effects in the Designer in any place the Designer is allowed to operate.
- Advanced text settings
- Allow text resize: toggles the availability of sizing controls for text objects.
- Allow text effects: toggles the availability of effects options for text objects.
- Allow text gradient: toggles the availability of gradient controls for text objects.
- Allow text warp: toggles the availability of warping controls for text objects.
- Allow text outline: toggles the availability of outline controls for text objects.
- Advanced image settings
- Trim empty area around raster image uploads: will trim the transparent empty area around raster image uploads. The trimmed image will be considered a new source file.
- Allow image resize: toggles the availability of sizing controls for image objects.
- Allow image effects: toggles the availability of effects options for image objects.
- Allow image border: toggles the availability of border controls for image objects.
- Maximum Image Size: toggles the settings to let you specify the maximum allowable size for image objects.
- Image Width: lets you specify the maximum allowable width for image objects.
- Image Height: lets you specify the maximum allowable height for image objects.
- Allow Text toggles the availability of text on/off in the Designer system-wide.
- When you are finished click Save or Cancel.
