The cookie consent options allow you to configure a cookie acceptance message that alerts customers about the use of cookies on your website. The settings are designed to help you quickly comply with cookie laws. When cookie consent is turned on, a popup is displayed on affiliate stores to get consent from first-time visitors to collect their browsing data. The customer will be able to manage their preferences over the acceptance of individual cookie categories.
Prerequisites
- You must have administrator access to edit these settings.
To cookie consent settings:
- Log into your DecoNetwork Website.
- Browse to Admin > Websites.
- Select Cookie Consent Options.
- Tick the Cookie Consent checkbox.
Ticking the checkbox will show a cookie acceptance message the first time a user visits a store.
The cookie consent settings will be displayed.
- Configure the cookie consent settings:
- Don't load Google reCAPTCHA's until cookie consent given: Tick this checkbox to prevent all Google reCAPTCHA's from being loaded until the user accepts the Resources cookie category. (This prevents Google Fonts from being downloaded, rendering your site non-GDPR compliant).
- Cookie Consent Revision: Increase the number in this field to re-display the cookie consent popup to all website users if you want to re-obtain consent to having their data collected via cookies.
- Allow stores to set their own cookie consent settings: Tick this checkbox to allow affiliate stores to override the cookie consent settings.

Categories
There are seven categories of cookies that customers will be able to consent to. The following 5 cookie categories are on by default:
- Necessary: These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They enable basic functions like page navigation, access to secure areas of the website, and include shopping cart functionality such as remembering items in the shopping cart.
- Analytics: These cookies gather information about how visitors use your website, which pages they visit most often, and if they encounter error messages from certain pages. This data helps the website owners understand and improve the site's performance and usability. Analytics cookies are considered non-essential for the basic functionality of the website, so users are often asked for consent before these cookies are set.
- Targeting: Also known as advertising cookies, these track users across different websites, creating a profile of their interests and browsing habits. This information is used to deliver targeted advertisements that are relevant to the user's interests. Targeting cookies are typically set with the user's consent because they are not necessary for the core functionality of the website.
- Sharing: These cookies are used by third-party services to enable social sharing buttons, embedded content from social media platforms, or other forms of content sharing between platforms. They allow users to interact with social media networks directly from the website. Sharing cookies usually require user consent before they are set.
- Resources: These cookies refer to the loading of external resources from a third-party site, like fonts and images, and may gather information from your device, such as your IP address.
There are 2 other general categories that can be turned on and customized to suit your purposes, for example, you can use them for cookies related to customer support chat features, site surveys, or other specialized functionalities:
- Sundry 1
- Sundry 2
The name and description of each of the categories can be changed. To do so, tick the relevant Override Description checkbox.
- Click Save.
