When you create a quote or an order, you can add one or more fees for extra materials or services required to produce the final product, such as gift wrap or artwork creation. An extra charge can be associated with one or more line items.
Prerequisites
- You must have Administrator, Sales Manager, or Sales Team permission to use this feature.
In this article, you will learn how...
To add an extra charge:
- Click on the Add Extra Charge button. An extra charge line item is added, with a dropdown list showing pre-defined extra charges.
- Select a pre-defined extra charge from the list or define a new charge.
To define a new extra charge:
- Click on the Define New Extra Charge button.
- Enter information in the New Extra Charge popup.
- Enter a name for the extra charge, eg. Artwork Fee.
- Enter a description for the extra charge, e.g. Fee for creating or recreating a printable design.
- Enter a price for each unit of the extra charge.
- Tick the Apply Tax checkbox if you want tax (pre-defined in your Fulfillment Center settings) to be automatically applied to the extra charge.
- Tick the Save as Permanent Extra Charge checkbox if you want the extra charge to be saved for re-use.
- Click on the OK button.
The newly defined extra charge will appear in the extra charge line item.
- Associate the extra charge with a line item (optional).
To associate the extra charge with a line item:
- Click on the cog icon beside the extra charge line item.
- Select associate with line items from the menu.
- Tick one or more checkboxes of the product(s) you want to associate the extra charge with in the Associate Extra Charge With Line Items popup.
- Click on the okay button.
To sort extra charges:
If you have multiple extra charges, you can re-arrange the order in which the extra charges are listed.
- Click on the cog icon beside the extra charge line item that you want to sort.
- Click on the move up or move down menu items to move the extra charge as desired.
To delete an extra charge:
- Click on the cog icon beside the extra charge line item that you want to delete.
- Click on the delete line menu item.
