Why localization settings matter
Proper localization ensures your system operates in alignment with your business environment and customer expectations.
- Consistency: Maintain uniform currency, units, and formats across orders and documents
- Accuracy: Avoid calculation or measurement errors in production and shipping
- Professional presentation: Ensure documents (quotes, invoices, etc.) match regional standards
- Efficiency: Reduce manual adjustments during order processing
Configure localization settings
Step 1: Navigate to Localization Settings
- Log into your DecoNetwork website.
-
Browse to Admin → Settings → General Settings.
Select Localization.

The main work area will display the Localization settings.
Access localization settings from the General Settings menu
Step 2: Configure country settings
Set the core regional preferences for your system:
- Language: Select the language that you want your DecoNetwork site to operate in.
- Time zone: Select the time zone of the country or region that your business operates in. This will be used to set the date and time used on your DecoNetwork site and in Business Hub.
- Base currency: Select the currency that you want your DecoNetwork store to use for pricing and transactions - e.g. US dollars, UK pounds, etc.
- DecoNetwork billing currency: Displays the currency used for your DecoNetwork subscription
Step 3: Set measurement units
- Product weight unit: Select the weight unit of all products in the system - i.e. kilograms or pounds. This enables the calculation of shipping costs by the weight of products ordered in the required unit of measurement.
- Product length unit: Select the length unit of all products in the system - i.e. centimeters or inches. This enables the calculation of shipping costs by the dimensions of products ordered in the required unit of measurement.
Step 4: Configure document formatting
Step 5: Save your settings
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Best practice tips
- Match your base currency to your primary sales market to avoid confusion
- Align units of measurement with your suppliers and shipping carriers
- Double-check settings after cloning or creating new stores
Troubleshooting
- Incorrect currency displaying: Verify the base currency is set correctly
- Shipping calculations seem off: Check that weight and length units match your shipping setup
