Business Hub (BH) is the operational side of DecoNetwork: the part of the system you and your team use every day to run your Fulfillment Center. It is a comprehensive quote, order, and production management system, combining features like bulk processing, automated purchase orders, artwork approval, automatically generated work orders and packing slips, and shipping labels into a single integrated workflow.
Prerequisites
- You have completed Using the Admin Interface
- You understand the role of the Fulfillment Center (see The Fulfillment Center)
- If you plan to run Affiliate stores, you understand the role of the Affiliate (see The Affiliate)
Business Hub vs. Admin
Before going further, it helps to know exactly how Business Hub relates to Admin, since they cover different halves of your business:
- Admin (accessed via the top bar) is where your site administrator configures the system: products, decoration processes, websites, and every other option your staff and Affiliates will use.
- Business Hub is where your team members actually use the system: creating quotes, processing orders, and managing production.
In short, Admin is the configuration side of DecoNetwork, and Business Hub is the operational side.
Admin vs Business Hub
Who uses Business Hub, and how
Business Hub is where your staff carry out their day to day roles:
- Sales managers/staff generate quotes and orders
- Artwork managers/staff manage and file art resources, and route them through customer approval with a full audit trail
- Products managers order inventory from suppliers through the purchase order system, and receive goods into the production queue
- Production Managers track the state of every order and its place in the production pipeline
- Production staff see which jobs are ready to run, along with the product and artwork details for each one
Why this matters
Every part of Business Hub is integrated with the rest of DecoNetwork, from your online Affiliate stores through to your shipping provider. Because quotes, orders, artwork, purchasing, and shipping all live in one connected system, information does not need to be re-entered or tracked separately at each stage of a job.
