One essential feature of customer management is the ability to place customer spending on hold, preventing them from placing additional orders. This feature can be useful in various situations, such as managing credit limits or addressing outstanding payments. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to place customer spending on hold.
Prerequisites
- You must have Administrator and/or Sales Manager permission to use this feature.
You can place customer spending on hold individually or in bulk.
To place customer spending on hold in bulk:
- Log into your DecoNetwork website.
- Browse to Business Hub > Customers.
The main work area shows a list of all your existing customers.
- Tick the checkboxes of the customers you want to place on hold.
- Click on Place on Spending hold in the Customer Actions list.
A confirmation popup will be displayed indicating the number of customers you have selected to put on hold.
- Click OK to proceed.
A second confirmation popup will be displayed to check if you are sure you want to proceed.
- Click OK.
To place customer spending on hold individually:
- Log into your DecoNetwork website.
- Browse to Business Hub > Customers.
The main work area shows a list of all your existing customers.
- Click on the cog icon at the end of the table header row, tick the Credit Limit checkbox, and click OK.
This will expose the Credit Limit column where you can check if the customer is near or over their credit limit.
- Click View to open a customer account you want to edit.
- Click on Edit Account Details next to the Account Details section heading.
The Edit Account Details popup will be displayed.
- Tick the Customer on Spending Hold checkbox.
- Click OK.
