The Product Colors page in a blank product's configuration screen displays the available colors for each product. Color information is obtained from suppliers. DecoNetwork formats and imports this data, automatically adding it to products when they are selected (either automatically or manually) from a catalog. On this page, you can also specify the color type (white, light, or dark) and set the sort order of the product colors. Additionally, you can edit colors as needed, which is especially helpful if you’ve created a custom product and want to offer various color options to your customers.
Prerequisites
- You must have administrator access to use this feature
- Images of your product in each additional color are required if not using color dynamic image templates
To edit the colors a product is available in:
- Log into your DecoNetwork Website.
- Browse to Admin > Products.
- Select a product to configure by either:
- Clicking on the product code.
- Clicking on the product name.
- Clicking on the Manage button beside the product you want to configure, then selecting Edit Product.
The product properties will be shown in the main work area, with a menu at the left to select property categories. General will be selected by default.
- Select Colors from the product properties menu.
The colors tab lets you determine what colors the product will be available in. By default, the supplier's options (including sort order) are already set, along with the DecoNetwork's definition of these colors being light, white, or dark which affects how decoration processes interact with the product. They also affect pricing if advanced price tables are used - pricing can be affected by the color of the product being printed onto, again based on the product being white, light, or dark. These settings can be changed to suit your business.
- Configure the settings as required.
Colors
- On allows you to activate or deactivate colors for a blank product. When the checkbox is ticked, the color will be available for selection and use with the product. If the checkbox is unticked, the color will be marked as inactive and will not be available for the product.
- Default is the color the product will launch with when used in the online store or Business Hub.
- Color is a visual representation of the color being defined.
- Name is a textual representation of the color being defined.
- Search Facet is the color group that the color is categorized under for the purpose of faceted search. When using faceted search to filter products by the specified search facet, all products that are available in a color that is categorized under the color search facet will be returned in the search results.
- Color Type is the definition of what color category the color is in; light, white, or dark.
The Add Color button lets you define a new custom color that will be available for the product. If the product is using unique images for each of its views, you will be required to upload these images by pressing upload. If the product is using a dynamically colorized image template, you only need to select the color from the relevant swatch and the system will do the rest.
Color Sort Order
This setting lets you configure how the product colors are sorted.
- Use system default ([default sort order]): when this option is selected, the default setting specified under Admin > Products > Blank Product Display > Product color display options is used. The text in between the brackets will indicate the current default sort order - i.e. "alphabetically" or "by hue".
-
Specify custom: when this option is selected, sorting arrows and the "Sort alphabetically" and "Sort by hue" action buttons will become visible, allowing you to override the sort order of the product colors.
- Use the up and down sorting arrows to change the order of the product colors.
- Clicking on the "Sort alphabetically" button will sort the product colors
by name alphabetically. - Clicking on the "Sort by hue" button will group the product colors into families of pure colors (i.e., red, blue, green, yellow, orange) and sort them by shade from darkest to lightest.
- Click Save or Save and Continue when done.

Hi there! I want to add a new color to my webstore that is live already. I was able to navigate to my webstore's "decorated store products." How do I update the colors for multiple products? Example: for tshirts and hoodies, I want to add Azalea pink as a color option. - Thanks!
