DecoNetwork offers robust global tax settings to ensure compliance with local tax regulations while maintaining transparency with customers. However, there are instances where businesses may need to tailor tax settings at the store level to meet diverse tax requirements due to factors such as business type, location, and industry.
The store tax settings let Fulfillment Center owners override global tax settings at the store level. The settings allow administrators to make a store tax-exempt, override tax display options in listing prices, and customize tax notices on the website.
Prerequisites
- You must have administrator access to use this feature
- This feature is only available on multi-store plans
To configure store tax settings:
- Log into your DecoNetwork Website.
- Browse to Admin > Websites.
- Select Manage for the website you want to configure.
- Click Administration, then Tax Settings.
- Configure the settigns as required.
Tax Settings
In certain situations, stores may qualify for tax exemptions. This setting lets you designate a store as tex-exempt.
Tick the Store is Tax Exempt checkbox if you do not wish to apply tax to any products sold within this store.
Taxes to Include in Listing Prices
Taxes defined in the global settings are automatically calculated and applied by DecoNetwork at checkout based on the purchaser's location. However, it is mandatory in some locations for some taxes to be included in the listed sales prices. These settings let you choose which taxes to include in the listing prices.
You can override the global tax display options by ticking the Override Default Settings checkbox.
The option to show website prices with tax already included will become enabled.
Tick the Website prices should show with tax already included checkbox if you want taxes to be included in the listed sales price of products on your website. Tick the checkboxes of all taxes that you want to be included in the listed sales price of products on your website.
Tax notice
The settings in this section let you customize the message that appears on your website informing your customers about the taxes that you collect. You can also choose where the notice is displayed.
You can override the global tax notice settings by ticking the Override default tax notice checkbox.
The settings to override the notice will become enabled.
Enter the notice that you want to appear on the website in the Notice field and choose where the notice will be included.
- Click Save to save your changes.
