When an order placed through Shopify needs to be canceled but has already been sent to Business Hub for fulfillment, it's important to manage the cancellation request in DecoNetwork. Since the order has progressed to the fulfillment stage, cancelation needs to be processed correctly to ensure that no further action is taken on the order. Follow these steps to effectively process the cancellation request to prevent the order from being fulfilled and shipped.
To Process a Shopify Order Fulfillment Cancelation Request:
- Log into your DecoNetwork website.
- Browse to Business Hub > Orders.
The Orders List is shown in the main work area.
- Click on the cell directly underneath Source table header.
- Select "Internet: Shopify Order" from the Source dropdown list.
The orders list is filtered to show Shopify orders only.
- Click View or anywhere in the row of the order you want to process.
- Click on the Approve Cancelation Request or Reject Cancelation Request action.
The Approve Cancelation Request popup will be displayed if you select "Approve Cancelation Request".The Reject Reason popup will be displayed if you select "Reject Cancelation Request".
- If you are approving the cancelation request, tick the Cancel with refund checkbox if you want to apply a refund to the order.
If you are rejecting the cancelation request, enter a reason for the rejection in the text box.
- Click OK to continue.
A refund will be processed, if the Cancel with refund checkbox is checked. If payment was made by credit card, the credit card will automatically be credited the refund amount.
If you are cancelling an order, an email will be sent to notify the customer of the cancellation.
