To add a Newsletter Signup Widget to your website:
- Click on the WIDGETS button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
- Browse the Widgets tab to locate the Newsletter Signup Widget in the BUSINESS section.
- Click and drag the Newsletter Signup Widget onto your website page.
Allowable areas the widget can be inserted into include:
- Within rows
- Within columns
- Above or below existing widgets
- Between existing widgets
Once the Newsletter Signup Widget is inserted into your web page, the Newsletter Signup Settings popup will be displayed, with the Properties tab selected.
- Configure the newsletter signup form.
- Panel title: Enter a title for your newsletter signup form in the Panel title field.
- Button Label: Enter the name that will appear on the Sign Up button.
- Show Name Field: Tick this checkbox if you want the Name field to be displayed to capture the name of the person signing up.
- Show Captcha: Tick this checkbox to enable reCAPTCHA.
- Edit the newsletter signup email field. (See below for instructions).
- Click OK.
- Click on the Save button and then click on the Publish button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
To edit the email field of the newsletter signup form:
- Click on the Configure button to the right of the email field.
- Configure the settings for the field.
Each field will have the following settings:
- Label: the title of the field.
- Description: lets you enter an explanation on how to complete the field.
- Placeholder: lets you enter a particular value to be used to pre-populate the email field.
- Start new line at this field: tick this checkbox to display this field on a new line.
- Container Width: lets you set the width of the field container as a percentage of the width of its parent container. You can use the slider or enter a percentage value into the Container Width field.
- Click OK to accept the changes.
- Click OK to save the form.
- Click on the Save button and then click on the Publish button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
To configure the design settings for the newsletter signup form:
- Click on the Design tab in the Newsletter Signup Settings popup.
- Select a Newsletter Layout style for the form.
- Label Above: displays labels above fields in the newsletter signup form.
- Label Left: displays labels to the left of fields in the newsletter signup form.
- Configure the heading font and color.
- Click on the font name to configure the font style using the Font popup. Click here for instructions.
- Click on the color spot to choose a text color using the Color popup. Click here for instructions.
- Configure the label font and color.
The procedure for configuring the label font is the same for editing the font style in the Style Editor. Click here for instructions.
The procedure for configuring the label color is the same for editing an element's color in the Style Editor. Click here for instructions.
- Configure the input field style.
The procedure for configuring the input field is the same as in the Style Editor. Click here for instructions.
- Configure the submit button style.
The procedure for configuring the submit button style is the same as for editing the button style in the Style Editor. Click here for instructions.
- Click OK to save the changes.
- Click on the Save button and then click on the Publish button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
