The Previously Published page lets you restore earlier versions of your website after publishing changes or manually creating backups of unpublished work. This provides a safeguard when updating your website design, layout, content, or branding.
Each time your website is published, DecoNetwork stores a retained snapshot of the website. You can also manually create backups of unpublished changes before making significant edits. These retained snapshots act as recovery points that can be restored if needed.
Website snapshots are retained automatically to help protect your website changes.

Why restore a previously published website version?
The Previously Published page helps you safely manage website changes by retaining earlier website states that can be restored if required.
- Recover from unwanted website changes
- Restore an earlier website layout or design
- Create manual recovery points before major edits
- Protect important website versions by pinning them
- Maintain continuity while testing updates and branding changes
Snapshot retention works as part of your website management workflow. When you publish or manually back up changes, the system retains snapshots that can later be used to restore the website to an earlier state if required.
Prerequisites
- You must be logged into your DecoNetwork website with Admin, Website Manager or Web Developer permission to manage and publish the website.
Step 1: Access the previously published versions
-
On the Admin menu for your website, click Edit Website, then click Previously Published.
A list of all the previously published versions of your website is displayed.
The system retains a limited number of recent website snapshots automatically.
Step 2: Restore a previously published version
Restoring a website snapshot copies the selected version into your current working website. The restored version does not immediately go live until you publish the website again.
- Locate the version you want to restore.
- Click Restore.
-
Click Continue in the Restoring Website popup, displayed when the restoration is complete.
The selected version will be applied as a working copy to your website and Website Pages Editor will be launched for you to make changes.
- Review the restored website changes.
Step 3: Edit and publish
- Make changes if required.
- Click Save in the Website Editor.
-
Click OK in the Saving Page popup, displayed when saving is complete.
- Click Publish in the Website Editor when ready to make the restored version live.
-
Click OK in the Publishing Website popup, displayed when publishing is complete.
Best-practice tips
- Create a manual backup before editing templates, CSS, or branding assets
- Review restored pages carefully before publishing.
- Publish stable milestones to maintain a reliable restore history.
- Use meaningful publishing workflows so retained snapshots represent clear recovery points
Troubleshooting
- My restored changes are not visible on the live website: Restoring a snapshot updates the working website only. Publish the website after reviewing the restored version to make the changes live.
- Layout still incorrect: Restore a different version or manually adjust before publishing.
