Configuring the Product - View Blank Product system page settings

The View Blank Product page is a system page that lets you view the details of a blank product. System pages are pages that cannot be turned off as they serve a necessary function in your web store, such as website authentication or product viewing. You can customize the View Blank Product page by configuring the display properties, layout, and design options via the page settings in the Website Editor. Access the page settings by going to the SYSTEM PAGES section in the PAGES tab of the Website Editor.

To configure the View Blank Product system page settings:

1. Click on the PAGES button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
   
2. Click on the + icon at the left of the Product tab to expand the Product pages menu.
   
3. Click on the View Blank Product page tab.
   

   The View Blank Product page is displayed in the Content Area of the Website Builder. The image below highlights the sections of the View Blank Product page. Use this as a reference for configuring the placement of items on the page.

4. Mouse over the View Blank Product Widget, then click on the down arrow beside the product icon.
5. Choose the View Blank Product Settings item from the drop-down menu.
   

   The View Blank Product Settings popup will be displayed, with the Properties tab selected.

   
6. Configure the settings for the View Blank Product Widget.
   • Image Panel Position: lets you choose the position within the View Blank Product Widget container where the blank product image will be displayed.
     • Left
     • Right
   • Image Panel Size: lets you choose the size at which the blank product image will be displayed.
     • Small
     • Medium
     • Large
   • Image Thumbnails Position: lets you choose the position within the View Blank Product Widget container where the blank product view image thumbnail will be displayed.
     • Left
     • Right

     • Bottom
   • Image Thumbnails Size: lets you choose the size at which the blank product view image thumbnail will be displayed.
     • Small
     • Medium
     • Large
   • Show Inventory Levels Link: lets you choose whether a link to view inventory availability for the blank product will be displayed.

   • Show Request Quote Link: lets you choose whether the Request A Quote Link will be displayed.

   • Show Custom Fields: lets you choose whether custom fields will be displayed.

     Custom fields are additional product options that the customer can choose from when they order a product, such as the choice of button color on a shirt.

   • Show Custom Fields Description: lets you choose whether the description for custom fields will be displayed.

   • Show prices for: sets what pricing to display next to the product thumbnail.
     • System default: uses the Pricing display option configured in the Blank Product Display settings. (Admin > Products > Blank Product Display)
     • Decoration prices: displays the prices for the available decoration processes only.
     • 'No decoration' price: displays the price for the blank product only.
     • Both 'decoration' and 'no decoration' prices: displays the prices for the combined blank product and available decoration processes.
   • Show Add to Cart Button: lets you choose whether the "Add to Cart" button is displayed on the View Blank Product Page. This setting will only be enabled if the Fulfillment Center setting for allowing store customization of the Allow Blank Product Purchase option is turned on. See the Blank Product Display article for instructions on how to configure the store customization setting for this option.

     If the site is in price mode, this setting will be replaced with the Show Add to Quote Button option. See the How to Edit your Store Price Settings article for information about setting a store to price mode.

   • Add to Cart Button Label: lets you modify the name that will appear on the Add to Cart button.
   • Load Designer Button Label: lets you modify the name that will appear on the Load Designer button.
   • Show Social Sharing: lets you choose whether social sharing buttons will be shown for each item in the cart, allowing your customers to share the products they have purchased on their social media sites (i.e. Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook) and via email.

   • Show Full Product Description: lets you choose whether the full blank product description will be visible. If 'No' is selected, the description will be cropped and a View Description link will be available which will expand the description section when clicked.

   • Show product views with no available decoration areas: lets you choose whether product views that do not have decoration areas will be visible.
     • No: thumbnails for product views that have no decoration areas defined will be hidden.
     • Yes: thumbnails for product views that have no decoration areas defined will be visible. Clicking on the thumbnail will display the large image preview for the view.
   • Product Name Position: lets you choose the position within the View Blank Product Widget container where the blank product name will be displayed.

     Note: The product sizing information will be shown only if size dimensions are defined for the product. Size dimensions are configured under the Sizing tab of a product's configuration page. See the Product Sizing help article for information on how to configure product size dimensions.

   • Show Related Products Full Name: lets you choose whether to display the full name of the related products.
     • Yes: displays the full name of the related product.
     • No: truncates the name of the related product to the width of the product thumbnail. An ellipsis (...) is appended to the end of the product name to indicate that it has been truncated.
   • Extra Details Position: lets you choose the position within the View Blank Product Widget container where extra details for the blank product will be displayed.

7. Click OK.
8. Click on the Save button and then click on the Publish button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
