Configuring the Product - View Design system page settings

The View Design page is a system page that lets you view a particular design in detail and preview it on the range of products available. System pages are pages that cannot be turned off as they serve a necessary function in your web store, such as website authentication or product viewing. You can customize the View Design page by configuring the display properties, layout, and design options via the page settings in the Website Editor. Access the page settings by going to the SYSTEM PAGES section in the PAGES tab of the Website Editor.

To configure the View Design system page settings:

1. Click on the PAGES button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
   
2. Click on the + icon at the left of the Product tab to expand the Product pages menu.
   
3. Click on the View Design page tab.
   

   The View Design page is displayed in the Content Area of the Website Builder. The image below highlights the sections of the View Design page. Use this as a reference for configuring the placement of items on the page.

4. Mouse over the View Design Widget, then click on the down arrow beside the icon.
5. Choose the View Design Settings item from the drop-down menu.
   

   The View Design Settings popup will be displayed, with the Properties Tab selected.

   
6. Configure the settings for the View Design Widget.

   PRODUCT THUMBNAILS

   1. Click on the PRODUCT THUMBNAILS row to expand the section.
      
   2. Configure the Product Thumbnails options.
      • Product Thumbnails Per Page: lets you specify the number of product thumbnails displayed per page.
      • Show Product Name: tick this checkbox if you want the product name to be displayed below each product thumbnail.

   PRODUCT SELECTOR

   The Product Selector Settings let you configure the options for the Product Selector in the Request A Quote Page. To configure the Product Selector settings:

   1. Click on the PRODUCT SELECTOR row to expand the section.
      
   2. Configure the Product Selector options.
      • Show Product Search
        • Tick this checkbox if you want to show the product Search box in the Product Selector.

          The Search box will be displayed at the top right panel of the Product Selector as follows:

          
        • Un-tick this checkbox if you want to hide the product Search box in the Product Selector.
      • Show Product Details
        • Tick this checkbox if you want to show high-level details for each product displayed in the Product Selector.
          
        • Un-tick this checkbox if you want to show only the product name for each product displayed in the Product Selector.
          

   SOCIAL SHARING

   1. Click on the Social Sharing row to expand the section.
      
   2. Configure the Social Sharing option.
      • Show Social Sharing: tick this checkbox to display the social network sharing links.
7. Click on the Design tab.

   The design settings will be displayed.

   
8. Configure the design settings.
   • Image Panel Position: lets you choose the position within the View Design Widget container where the design image will be displayed.
     • Left
     • Right
   • Image Panel Size: lets you choose the size at which the design image will be displayed.
     • Small
     • Medium
     • Large

     Click on the brush icon to edit the background color of the image panel.

   • Design Name position: lets you choose the position within the View Design Widget container where the image name will be displayed.
     • Top of Page
     • Properties Panel
   • Product Thumbnails Size: lets you choose the size at which the product image thumbnails will be displayed.
     • Small
     • Medium
     • Large
9. Click OK.
10. Click on the Save button and then click on the Publish button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
