This article provides the specific DNS records that need to be set in order to use your domain with DecoNetwork. Prerequisites
- You must have administrator access to your domain provider
- You must have a previously purchased custom domain
DNS records for a root domain:
When setting up a root level domain, you'll need two DNS records so your domain will work both with www and without www added.
You would need the following DNS records:
Record Type | Hostname | Value (Points-to) |
---|---|---|
A | @ | 65.39.250.34 |
CNAME | www | dns.deco-apparel.com |
DNS Record for a one-off single subdomain:
When setting up a subdomain for a site, you'll need to add a single DNS record with your desired subdomain set as the hostname.
Using bobsyouruncle.mydomain.com as an example, you would need the following DNS records:
Record Type | Hostname | Value (Points-to) |
---|---|---|
CNAME | bobsyouruncle | dns.deco-apparel.com |
DNS Record for global subdomains (wildcard):
When setting up a global store domain for your affiliate stores, you'll need to add a single wildcard DNS record (typically done by setting an asterisk as the hostname).
You would need the following DNS records:
Record Type | Hostname | Value (Points-to) |
---|---|---|
CNAME | * | dns.deco-apparel.com |
