Manage Inventory in Business Hub

The Inventory On Hand screen in Business Hub lets you set and track inventory levels for all products in your system. Purchase orders will be generated for supplier products with low stock levels as determined by your settings. Low stock level warnings are also issued as emails to team members in the Admin and Purchasing roles.

Prerequisites

• You must have Administrator and/or Purchasing permission to use this feature.

To manage inventory in Business Hub:

1. Log into your DecoNetwork website.
2. Browse to Business Hub > Products > Inventory On Hand.
   
3. Click the cell under the Product header to see the list of system products.

   You can type into the field to search for a particular product. The list will be filtered automatically.

4. Select a product to configure.

   The table will be populated with all specific stock items for the selected product.

5. Configure the settings as required.
   • Stock Item lets you turn inventory tracking on/off for this SKU.

     Ticking this checkbox for a product SKU will enable the following fields for tracking the inventory levels of that SKU in your system:

     • Location
     • Low Stock Warning
     • Reorder To Level
     • New Inventory Level

     The topmost checkbox will select all items on the page when ticked.

   • Thumbnail displays a thumbnail view image of the product in the color of the product SKU.
   • Product displays the product code and name.
   • SKU displays the unique identifying code of the product SKU.
   • Color fills the cell in the SKU color and displays the color name of the product SKU.
   • Size displays the size code of the product SKU.
   • Sub Size displays the sub-size code, if any, of the product SKU. (Sub sizes are typical of products like pants where you have a waist size and leg length, e.g. Regular, Long, Extra Long).
   • Supplier Inventory the amount of inventory the supplier has in stock for the SKU.

     The supplier inventory amount will only be available if you have configured live ordering for the supplier.

   • Location lets you enter/edit the coordinate number of the storage bin where the item is located, giving you more control in managing your inventory.

     The location number will appear on the Production Worksheet, Purchase Order Stock Sheet, Order Inventory Pull Sheet, Packing Slips, and in the popup that appears when clicking on the Ordered or Received column while viewing the Production tab of an Order in Business Hub.

   • Low Stock Warning lets you specify the inventory level at which a warning email will be sent to relevant team members informing them of low stock.
   • Reorder To Level lets you specify the amount of a product SKU to which a purchase order will aim to restock your inventory level.
   • Inventory On Order displays the present amount of the product SKU that has already been ordered, but not yet received.
     • For Stock: shows the number of inventory items on order for stock-keeping.
     • For Orders: shows the number of inventory items on order to fulfill orders.
   • Current Inventory displays the amount of stock you presently have.
   • New Inventory Level lets you make a correction to the Current Inventory level recorded if there is any discrepancy with the actual inventory level you have in stock.

     After you have entered a new inventory level, an icon will be displayed beside the field.

     

     Clicking on the icon will open the Inventory Change Reason popup, allowing you to enter a reason why the inventory level was manually changed.

     
   • Log opens a log popup detailing events relating to the product in terms of inventory level.

     SKU

     Displays the SKU information of the product you are viewing the log of.

     Inventory Event Log

     Lists a log of events affecting the inventory level of the product. Events include:

     • Restocked from purchase order: Restock of inventory from a purchase order.
     • Restocked from product import: Restock of inventory from product import.
     • Manually changed: Restock of inventory from manual entry.

       If a reason was entered when the inventory level was changed, it will be displayed after the event name., e.g. Manually changed: Miscount.

     • Allocated to Order: Depletion of inventory due to allocating of products to an order.
     • Unallocated from Order: Restock of inventory from a canceled order.

     Current Purchase Orders

     Lists the current purchase orders that are awaiting stock to replenish the product inventory to the required level.

     Orders Needing Purchase Orders

     Lists the orders that are awaiting purchase orders for stock required to fulfill the orders.

6. Click Save at the end of a row to save the changes you have made to a particular product SKU. Click Save All Changes to save all the changes you have made.
