How do I... Temporarily Disable An Affiliate Store?

There are times when you may want to temporarily disable or prevent access to one of your affiliate stores. DecoNetwork allows you to have the flexibility to enable and disable stores as you need them, using three different, but useful methods.

Option One: Enable password protection for the selected store.

The easiest and fastest way to prevent end users from accessing one of your stores is by setting up password protection to prevent unauthorized access. While this is the easiest and fastest way, it does have a loophole if any customers have saved the user login page URL.

To enable password protection:

1. Log into your DecoNetwork website.
2. Browse to Websites > Manage (for the selected store).

3. Select Customer Options under Store Configuration.
4. From the Customer Options page select:
   • Override Default Settings
   • Customers must be logged in to view the website
   • Customers can log in using a generic password

     This option allows you to define a generic password needed in order to access the selected store. This option is great for offering previews of the site to specific people without setting up accounts for each individual previewing the site.

5. Save the changes.

Option Two: Redirect the Affiliate Store URL to Your Primary URL

This option involves adding redirection from affiliate store domain to any domain that you choose (preferably your primary domain). By doing this, end-users will not be able to access the selected affiliate store, they will be redirected to your chosen website.

To add redirection:

1. Log into your DecoNetwork website.
2. Browse to Websites > Manage (for the selected store).

3. Select Redirection under Administration.
4. On the Redirection page, add the URL where you want to redirect the selected affiliate store in the Redirect to link field (you can use your fulfillment center URL).

5. Save the changes.

Option Three: Delete the Affiliate Store (and Restore It Later...)

The third choice is the most complete, as it allows you to delete your affiliate store from your DecoNetwork system and restore it in the future if needed.

To delete an affiliate:

1. Log into your DecoNetwork website.
2. Browse to Websites > Manage (for the selected store).

3. Select Delete Site under Administration.

4. On the Delete Site page provide the reason that you want to delete this store in the Delete reason field (just for your own future reference).
5. Click the Delete button.

To restore deleted site:

1. Log into your DecoNetwork website.
2. Browse to Websites > Advanced Search.
3. Select Include Deleted checkbox and click search.

   You will then see the list of all of your affiliate stores including those that you have deleted.

4. Click Restore next to the deleted affiliate site to restore the site.
