DecoNetwork makes it easy to configure and manage the standard color palettes you use for decoration processes like screen printing and embroidery. Instead of manually entering dozens of color codes, you can import your full stock palette via a CSV file. This ensures consistency across decoration methods and saves significant setup time.

Prerequisites
- Admin access to your DecoNetwork account
- A prepared CSV with color data (RGB and/or CMYK values + color Name)
- Optional: Include Pantone codes and thread references directly in the Name field
Why configure color palettes?
Custom palettes keep customer choices aligned with what you actually stock while improving production consistency.
- Import many colors at once—no more one-by-one entries.
- Maintain consistent branding across processes (screen printing ↔ embroidery).
- Let customers match threads to inks using shared names/labels.
- Restrict selection to your approved colors—or optionally open the full spectrum.
Import a color palette CSV
- Step 1: Go to Admin → Decoration Processes and select a process (e.g., Screen Printing or Embroidery).
- Step 2: Open the Color Palettes section and click Import Palette.
- Step 3: Choose CSV as the Palette Source.
- Step 4: Enter a palette name (e.g., Ink Colors).
- Step 5: Click Browse to upload your CSV.
- Step 6: Click Save. Colors are created from your CSV (CMYK can be auto-derived from RGB if blank).
Upload your CSV and save to generate a reusable color palette for the selected process.
CSV column order matters: CMYK (can be blank) → RGB → Name. Include Pantone codes and thread references in the Name (e.g., Charcoal PMS 432C (Madeira Polyneon 40-XXXX)).
Best-Practice Tips
- Only have RGB? Leave CMYK columns blank—DecoNetwork will map CMYK automatically.
- Use a single shared palette where possible to simplify matching.
- For open-ended selection, enable Allow color slider in the color picker so customers can pick any color.
- Keep a versioned “master CSV” so you can re-import or update quickly.
Troubleshooting
- Colors failed to import: Verify column order and that your CSV has no extra headers/merged cells.
- Wrong color values: Confirm RGB values are 0–255 and names don’t include commas unless quoted.
- Palette won’t save: Check file size/format and try removing non-ASCII characters in the Name column.
FAQs
- Can I include both CMYK and RGB? Yes. If CMYK is omitted, it’s derived from RGB.
- Can I edit after import? Yes—palettes can be updated at any time.
- Multiple palettes? Supported. Assign different palettes to different processes if needed.
