DecoNetwork gives you flexible control over how orders move into production. Depending on your business model, you can process orders individually as they come in or group them together for more efficient fulfillment.
This guide explains the difference between on-demand production and batch production, and shows you how to configure batch production for a store.
In this article
Prerequisites
- An active DecoNetwork store
- Access to Admin and Business Hub
- Orders being placed or ready to be processed
Why use batch production?
Batch production allows you to group orders together and process them in a single run instead of fulfilling them individually as they arrive.
- Improve efficiency: Produce multiple orders at once instead of repeating setup tasks
- Reduce costs: Optimize labor, materials, and supplier ordering
- Streamline workflows: Plan production runs more strategically
- Better suited for campaigns: Ideal for fundraising, team stores, or limited-time sales
Production modes explained
On-demand production (default)
- Orders flow directly into Business Hub as they are placed
- Production begins immediately
- Best for fast turnaround and one-off orders
Batch production
- Orders are placed into a holding pattern
- You release them into production at a chosen time
- Best for grouped production runs and campaign stores
