Prerequisites
- You must have Administrator access.
- Decide the language, measurement units, and currency your business should use before you begin, since these settings apply to your entire account.
Why use this feature?
DecoNetwork is used by businesses around the world, so getting localization right keeps pricing, product measurements, and site language consistent with how your business actually operates. Because this is a single, account-wide setting, configuring it correctly once means every affiliate store under your Fulfillment Center automatically reflects the same language, measurement units, and currency, without needing to repeat the setup per store.
- Display pricing in the currency your business operates in
- Keep shipping cost calculations accurate using the correct weight and length units
- Present Admin, Business Hub, and storefronts in your preferred language
- Apply settings consistently across your primary store and all affiliate stores
Step 1: Open Localization Settings
- Log in to your DecoNetwork website.
- Browse to Admin → Settings → General Settings.
- Select Localization.

Step 2: Configure Language, Units, and Currency
- Select your Language.
- Select your Product weight unit (kilograms or pounds), used to calculate shipping costs based on the products ordered.
- Select your Product length unit.
- Confirm your Time Zone is correct, since it controls the date and time shown across your DecoNetwork site and Business Hub.
- Select your Base currency, for example Australian Dollar or British Pound. This becomes the default currency used across your account.
- Click Save.
Selecting currency, language, and measurement units
Localization settings apply to your whole Fulfillment Center. Affiliate stores don't have their own separate language or base currency settings, they always inherit whatever is configured here.
The currency set here is used across your site. On multi-store plans, it also becomes the default option in a currency selector, where customers can select a different currency at checkout; the available options are configured separately under Admin → Websites → Store Options.
Once saved, these settings are retained and used immediately across Admin, Business Hub, your primary store, and every affiliate store, so pricing, product measurements, and site language stay consistent everywhere without further configuration.
Best Practices
- Set localization correctly during initial account setup, since it affects every affiliate store's language and base currency.
- Choose weight and length units that match how your product catalog and shipping carriers calculate cost, to keep shipping estimates accurate.
- If you plan to sell in more than one currency, treat the currency set here as your base currency and configure additional currencies separately through Store Options.
Troubleshooting
Problem: An affiliate store shows the wrong language or currency.
Cause: Affiliate stores don't have independent localization settings. They always use whatever is set at the Fulfillment Center level.
Solution: Update the Currency or Language under Admin → Settings → General Settings → Localization. The change applies to all affiliate stores.
Problem: Shipping cost estimates look incorrect.
Cause: The Product Weight Unit or Product Length Unit doesn't match how your products or shipping carrier expect measurements to be entered.
Solution: Confirm the correct weight and length units under Localization Settings and update if needed.
Problem: Customers do not see their local currency at checkout.
Cause: Localization sets a the base currency for your account. Offering multiple currencies to customers requires a separate setting only available on multi-store plans.
Solution: On multi-store plans, configure Available Currencies under Admin → Websites → Store Options in addition to the base currency set here.
FAQs
Does changing the currency here change what my customers can pay in?
The currency set in Localization is used as your account's base currency across your storefront. On multi-store plans, it also becomes the default option in a currency selector, where customers can select a different currency at checkout; the available options are configured separately under Store Options.
Can I set a different language for an affiliate store?
No. All affiliate stores use the same language configured for your Fulfillment Center account. There is no per-store language setting.
What do the Product Weight Unit and Length Unit settings actually affect?
They set the measurement units used for products across your account, which DecoNetwork uses to calculate shipping costs based on the size and weight of what's ordered.
Do I need to update Localization settings again if I add a new affiliate store?
No. Localization is configured once at the Fulfillment Center level and automatically applies to every affiliate store, including new ones you add later.
