Allow users to login to any affiliate store using their user name & password

If you haven't experienced this yet... you will.

When a customer sets up an account on an affiliate store, they can only use their login credentials on that particular store. If they try to use those credentials on any other affiliate store or our main site, the receive an error and cannot make a purchase.

This means they would have to have a unique set of credentials for each store they may want to purchase from. For example, we have an affiliate store for a school and we place marketing material for our main site in with the customer order. When they go to the other site, their credentials do not work and it is creating a lot of customer calls.

Hey Dennis 01 - Embroidery Room years ago DecoNetwork used to function the way you've described; users could login across all stores within the same account. The behavior was changed due to user feedback, many users saw this as a security issue. At this point it is unlikely to be reverted to the previous behavior.

The longer we use DecoNetwork, the more this is becoming an issue. I wonder if the people who raised concerns ‘back in the day’ were doing the amount of ecommerce that companies are since post-covid. Maybe this should be revisited or have an option to enable universal login for customers.
