Webstore Promo Code/Gift Certificate Input Options - View Cart Widget Update
Under ConsiderationWould love to have the promo code & gift code input options in the view cart webstore widget separated. As it stands the option is either enabled or disabled for both code fields, but there are many situations where we could benefit from being able to disable them independently.

Jake Funk coupon code and gift certificates auto hide on a website when there are no coupons or certificates are available for the site. This works independently so you could have a site that displays the gift certificate field but not the coupon code field and vise versa.

Cristofer,
I've never known this to be a feature. How does one go about enabling this? Because I just checked and it doesn't appear to work this way by default. As it stands, a store with no promo codes or gift codes set up is displaying exactly the same way as a store that has both, or only one or the other code types set up (both fields showing in view cart).

Jake Funk this is the default behavior, nothing needs to be turned on. If you're having issues with this feel free to raise a support ticket.

Cris,
How would this rule of "if a store has no gift certificates/promotional codes assigned than the input boxes aren't displayed" work if all expired/inactive gift certificates remain listed alongside active ones?
My question is this. We have 46 pages of gift certificates, with a number of them dating back years, some of those have a "select a store" field that is unable to be edited. Even if we were to clear up ALL other codes, and assign them to specific stores, would we meet the criteria to fix this rule? Or would we still be stuck in limbo because of those few rogue codes without an assigned store?
