Request for SEO Optimization: Adjusting <h1> Tags on Our Website
AnsweredHello Deconetwork Support Team,
I am writing to inform you about an issue we have encountered on our website and its importance for SEO. On our pages, there are two <h1>
tags being used. This poses a significant problem for SEO because search engines recommend having only one main heading (<h1>
) tag per page. Multiple <h1>
tags can make it difficult for search engines to correctly interpret the content of the page, which can negatively impact our rankings in search results.
As an example, here is one of the affected pages: https://www.printbarn.ca/blank_product/256686121/Heavy-Blend-Crewneck-Sweatshirt?c=7816261
Currently, this page has two <h1>
tags:
<h1 class="dn-styled dn-sized"><span class="dn-product-brand">Gildan</span> <span class="dn-product-name">Softstyle® T-Shirt</span> <span class="dn-product-code">64000</span></h1>
<h1 class="dn-styled dn-sized">Gildan Softstyle® T-Shirt</h1>
For an SEO-friendly structure, it is essential to use only one <h1>
tag and change the others to subheading tags (<h2>
or <h3>
).
I kindly request that necessary adjustments be made in the system to address this issue. This correction will help our pages be better understood by search engines, ultimately improving our search rankings.
Thank you for your support and understanding. Best regards.
Sincerely,
-
DecoNetwork Team
This is a non-issue. While duplicate H1 tags exist on product pages, one is used for mobile display and the other for desktop display. They are not displayed simultaneously. Search engines are smart enough to recognize this.
