Composite products
Under ConsiderationCurrent problem:
- Some products require additional processes (e.g., applying a label) that are not specified in the order.
- For each order, these processes must be added manually, complicating the workflow and increasing the risk of errors.
- Additionally, materials like labels must be manually deducted from the inventory, slowing down management and making reordering difficult to predict.
Desired solution:
- Implement a system to define composite products within the stores.
- A composite product would include all the steps required to complete the item, such as printing, applying labels, and packaging.
- Example: When a customer orders a black t-shirt, the system would automatically generate an order specifying:
- Neutral product (black t-shirt)
- Front print
- Back print
- Label application
- Fragrance application
- Folding and packaging
Benefits of the solution:
- Automated assignment: Each step would be directly assigned to the appropriate person or department (e.g., warehouse worker, printer, seamstress).
- Accurate inventory management: Materials like labels or fragrances would be automatically deducted from inventory, streamlining reordering.
- Increased efficiency: This reduces manual work and the risk of errors, improving speed and accuracy across the production process.
-
Opportunity to create Kits: Stores could offer kits composed of multiple items to create specific promotions. For example:
- Hat: $10
- Scarf: $10
- Kit (Hat + Scarf): $15
This feature would make it easy to bundle items and manage inventory efficiently for promotional offers.
In Summary:
A composite product system would automate the management of production processes and materials, enhance efficiency, traceability, and order accuracy, simplify warehouse and production operations, and enable the creation of promotional kits to attract customers.
Thank you in advance for considering this opportunity!

I love these concepts!! I do think the inventory for items used for items like tags or bagging items. But I do think the there is a feature that currently allows you to set up sets for each product, like the job set ex. But I do think assistance to different user accounts would be great. I also would love the concept of bundles.
