This is an absolute must, enter tax rates by every zip code is crazy. I would pay extra every month for this.

Oh my goodness, YES!  PLEASE do this.  Zip codes are a huge headache and not even accurate because zip codes can be split by city or county boundaries.

OK, I'm weighing in again but I'm disappointed that this isn't a priority.  This is a nightmare and whenever a county in my state changes its tax rate, I have to go back in and figure it all out again.  Why can't you do this?  As someone else said, I'd pay extra for this.

Yeah I don't think they get it, Deco's 3 big compactors all offer this already. This a big lability on our part when we do college stores and we do not have sales tax entered from every county in the country.

This is a huge issue for the platform that needs to be addressed. We need a solution ASAP! Being a e-commerce product this has to be one of the platforms top priority's if not TOP PRIORITY. The system needs to calculate accurate sales tax by shipping or billing location using the API from Avalara or Tax Jar. This is just a standard for any e-commerce platform in this day and age. Lets go Deco!

I am with the others above.  Legit shops that are doing volume and want to stay legally compliant with the tax laws in the USA NEED this and is a MUST.  I do not understand how this is even an option not to have for a system that is a part of a business payment and accounting with orders and invoicing.  The way the system does it now has no way to stay compliant.  This NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP!  So you understand this more in depth, certain zip codes have multiple tax jurisdictions so for example zip codes have a 5 digit portion as well as an additional 4 digit at the end.  Zip 11111 could have 5 different tx rates based on the mailing address 11111-0001, 11111-0002, 11111-0003, 11111-0004 and 11111-0005 could all be different.  These also change constantly so for us to upload a CSV file is not an option.  At minimum the system should at LEAST do a Zip Code lookup for tax rate that way its always current.  If it at least spit out an Excel file that lists all the zip codes to the 9 digit (11111-0001) and the total amount collected for each that would be the bare minimum the system should do.  Using Avalara is ideal because it would all be automated on our end where Avalara dictates the rate, collects and even pays out for us.  PLEASE LOOK AT THIS ASAP!

Holy cow, DECO! We've been asking for this for YEARS (this is my 3rd comment on this thread) and unless I've missed something, not a peep about this huge issue.  Right now the ONLY thing keeping me with deco is the difficulty of setting things up all over again with a new provider. Please let us know that you are working on this and provide us with a target date for implementation.

Agreed, I am new to Deco and felt like it was explained that this was part of it. Im shocked to find out that it isn't and really disappointed. I hope it happens soon, I was on the fence between this and Inksoft but went with Deco because of the embroidery estimator, but if this creates a ton of extra work for us, then we wont stick around. Theres Taxjar and other companies too if Avatax isn't playing nice, but some automatic sales tax calculation software is needed.

This is a huge must for us. With that being said, are there any workarounds that others are doing? We have hit the tax threshold already in 14 states with that growing by selling on square space. Squarespace has taxjar integrated and it works amazing. I'd even offer to assist deconetwork in getting this integrated if you guys want my help.

Avalara is willing to work with DECO to get this done.

Here are the next steps they gave me.

    1. Connect with DocoNetwork’s IT/Dev contact to confirm that they can work with us on the API integration with our software and that shopping cart
    2. Have the Deconetworks team Review API documentation

Can someone please help to move this forward?
