Stock Reordering triggers

Currently we have  "Reorder to level". Can we also have an option to have "Reorder QTY". The reason is suppliers ship for eg 48 in a carton, and if we have a low stock warning at 12 trigger because someone ordered 40, we want to order a full carton, not 40 units to replace the ones sold.
