API support for updating customer data on incoming shopify fulfillment orders
Under ConsiderationHey
I would like to request a new feature for the DecoNetwork API that would be very valuable for us and (I believe) for many other users as well.
Current situation:
-
Orders imported from Shopify into DecoNetwork via the Fulfillment integration do not contain customer details when using Shopify’s Basic or Grow plan.
-
Currently, the only way to update or add customer information (name, address, email, etc.) to these orders is by manually editing them in the DecoNetwork web interface.
Problem:
For businesses managing multiple shops, this manual step is very time-consuming and error-prone, especially when handling dozens of orders per day. Automation is not possible with the current API capabilities, as the manage_orders endpoints do not allow modifying customer details.
Requested feature:
Please add an API endpoint (or extend the existing Order Management API) to allow updating or adding customer details (billing and shipping information) for an existing order.
Benefit:
-
Enables automation workflows (e.g. from Shopify, CSV import, or third-party tools).
-
Saves significant time by removing manual data entry.
-
Reduces the risk of errors in customer information.
-
Makes it easier for businesses in transition (e.g. moving from Shopify to DecoNetwork) to continue processing orders efficiently.
This feature would help us and other users integrate DecoNetwork more seamlessly into existing workflows.
Thank you very much for considering this request!
Best regards,
Alex
