Support for Schema Markup (Structured Data)
Under ConsiderationOverview
We would like DecoNetwork to support the implementation of Schema.org structured data markup across ecommerce websites hosted on the platform.
Business Need
Schema markup has become an important component of modern SEO, helping search engines better understand website content and increasing eligibility for enhanced search results (rich snippets). While DecoNetwork currently supports meta titles, meta descriptions, keywords and OpenGraph tags, there is currently no way to implement structured data.
Requested Functionality
Ideally, DecoNetwork would automatically generate and output relevant schema markup based on existing website and product data. Alternatively, providing a mechanism for users to add custom schema markup would also be beneficial.
Priority schema types would include:
-
Product Schema
-
Product name
-
Description
-
Images
-
SKU
-
Brand
-
Price
-
Availability
-
-
Breadcrumb Schema

Use Case
As an ecommerce store owner, I want the ability to implement schema markup so that product, category and informational pages can be better understood by search engines and qualify for enhanced search features where applicable.
