Embroidery Fonts Space
Under ConsiderationHello,
I hope you’re doing well.
We’ve been receiving a significant amount of customer feedback, including complaints, about the standard embroidery-ready fonts, and we believe these settings need to be adjusted.
The first issue is the spacing between words and letters. When a single space character is used, the gap appears much larger than it should. Both our customers and our team find the spacing excessive. Ideally, the default space width should be reduced by approximately 50%.
If someone wants a larger gap, they can simply enter two spaces. However, customers who want a tighter, more natural-looking space currently have no option. We have to manually adjust these files repeatedly, which creates unnecessary production time and workload.
The second issue is the connecting threads between letters. The digital preview often looks perfectly clean, with no visible connecting threads, but the finished embroidery can contain jump/connection threads between characters.
Customers approve the preview expecting the finished embroidery to look the same, so this creates confusion and dissatisfaction.
We believe one of the following solutions is needed:
Update the preview so connecting threads are accurately shown.
Automatically add a trim after each letter/character so there are no visible connecting threads.
Add an option allowing the user to choose whether connecting threads are acceptable or whether trimming is required.
Please review both issues and consider updating the standard embroidery font settings accordingly. These problems are creating repeated manual work for us and unnecessary customer complaints.
