Bulk delete abandoned carts
Under ConsiderationCan we please have the option to bulk delete abandoned carts, now that they don't expire automatically if the customer has been contacted?

Hey Niki, abandoned carts should expire. If you're not seeing that behavior please submit a support ticket with more details.

Yes that's what I thought, and what the Help docs say, but ours have not been expiring. We have some that have been there since March.
I raised a support ticket #115302 and got told they don't expire anymore if the customer has been contacted, and that if we want to clear them we have to delete them one by one. And that if I wanted to be able to bulk delete them to raise a feature request so I've done that.
Are you able to please have a look at that ticket?

Understood, in that case the feedback is accurate. When a customer has been contacted regarding their abandoned cart it will not be eligible for auto expiration.

Thanks Cristofer, it's just the auto email though which always used to expire as well. I'm curious as to why this functionality has changed?

I reviewed that function and that logic to not expire contacted carts has been there since at least 2013. Not sure why you are seeing something different.

Very strange - it's only been happening since March 2022. Otherwise we would have thousands of abandoned carts sitting in this area (attached).
