Month to Date Option for Dashboard Sales

Every day we update our monthly sales... Right now, to do that, I have to click on custom period, it goes back 3 months automatically- I then have to go forward to the first day of the current month and then select today's date.  A month to date and Year to date would make logical sense as that is how companies typically track sales, thanks!

  This would be awesome.  Especially since there is not much in reports that are helpful with accounting.
