The Decorated Products page allows you to create or modify pre-decorated products that you can offer for sale on your website(s). Decorated Products are created by selecting a blank product and using the Online Designer to apply decoration to that product. This results in a store-specific Decorated Product with its own name, description, and other parameters that are configured on this page.

Why this matters
A decorated product is what customers actually browse and buy in your storefront: it pairs a blank product with a specific design and gives it its own name, description, category, availability, and pricing. Getting these details right directly affects whether customers understand what they're buying and how accurately your store represents your product catalog.
- Controls the storefront experience: Name, description, category, and listing image determine how easy a product is to find and understand.
- Determines customization: The Allow customize setting controls whether a customer can open the product in the Online Designer or only make limited personalization edits.
- Governs pricing behavior: The Ignore checkboxes in the General section let a specific decorated product override minimum quantity rules, screen setup fees, quantity discounts, and color/size price differences that would otherwise apply from the blank product or decoration process.
- Feeds category navigation and search: Category assignment and sort order determine where and in what order products appear to customers.

Best-practice tips
- Write outcome-focused descriptions: Describe fit, feel, and use case rather than generic marketing copy, so customers know what they're buying before they open the Online Designer.
- Categorize every product: An uncategorized decorated product is harder for customers to browse to, even if it's still searchable by name.
- Enable "Allow customize" deliberately: Only allow full Online Designer access where you actually want customers editing the design; otherwise rely on personalization-only editing for text and color changes.
- Review the "Ignore" checkboxes before ticking them: Each one overrides a rule set at the blank product or decoration process level (minimum quantity, screen setup fee, quantity discounts, color/size pricing). Confirm that's the outcome you want, especially for minimum quantity rules, since these are otherwise enforced at checkout.
- View the product after saving: Use View product or View from the Manage menu to confirm the name, description, price, and category display the way you expect before customers see it.
- Use Make private instead of deleting: Stage a product privately while you finish configuring it, then Make public when it's ready.
Troubleshooting
A decorated product doesn't appear in the storefront listing
Cause: The blank product is out of stock, or the decorated product has been made private.
Solution: Check for the out-of-stock note next to the blank product name on the Edit Decorated Product screen, or check whether the Manage menu shows "Make Public" (meaning it's currently private).
Customers can't open the product in the Online Designer
Cause: Allow customize is unticked, or the Online Designer isn't enabled for this site.
Solution: Tick Allow customize under the General section, and confirm the Online Designer is enabled for the store.
The decorated product won't save with the retail price you entered
Cause: The retail price is below the wholesale price set by the Fulfillment Center, and the store hasn't enabled prices below wholesale.
Solution: Increase the retail price, or ask the Fulfillment Center to enable "Store allows decorated products to set retail price below the wholesale price."
A customer is blocked at checkout by a minimum quantity you didn't expect
Cause: The blank product or its decoration process has a minimum quantity rule that isn't being ignored on this decorated product.
Solution: Tick Ignore Minimum Quantity Rules if you want this specific product exempt, or leave it unticked and see Product Minimum Quantity and Bundles for how the checkout-time minimum quantity check works.
Size Surcharges isn't available to configure
Cause: The blank product uses SKU pricing, or Ignore blank product size price differences is ticked.
Solution: Size surcharges aren't available when either applies. Review both settings if you expected to see this option.

How do you turn off Custom Fields for decorated items? For instance, on hats, we have an additional option in the Custom Fields for "Puff." But on decorated items, we don't want the customer to be able to select Puff as an additional option.
