Why enable external payment gateways
Enabling external payment gateway integrations lets you accept payments using third-party processors (non-DecoPay) in addition to your DecoNetwork checkout options.
- Access legacy integrations: Use payment gateways that were available before DecoPay.
- Offer flexibility: Provide additional payment options based on your business requirements.
Important: Transaction fees may be incurred when using external payment gateway integrations to accept payments.

What happens next

- See the Payment Methods article for configuration instructions.
Best-practice tips
- Enable the app only when needed – Install the Payment Gateways app only if you plan to use external (non-DecoPay) gateways, to keep your system setup simple.
- Coordinate with your payments workflow – Ensure your team knows when external gateways have been enabled, as this affects which payment options become available for configuration.
- Plan configuration separately – Enabling the app only unlocks access to integrations. The external gateway must still be set up and tested separately.
Troubleshooting
I can’t see the Apps Store button
- Confirm you are logged in with an account that has administrator access.
I enabled the app, but I still don’t see external gateways
- Refresh the Payment Methods page after enabling the app.
