Link navigation drop-down menu to an external website or page

You can use the List Of Links Widget to easily add links in your drop-down menus to external pages and websites.

1. Log into your DecoNetwork Website.
2. Browse to Admin > Websites.

   

   

3. Select Manage for the website you want to configure.
   
4. Select Edit Website, then Website Pages.
   

   The Website Editor will load in the Admin area.

   
5. Click on the DESIGN button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
   
6. Click on the PAGE OPTIONS menu item.

   The PAGE OPTIONS settings are displayed.

   
7. Scroll to the Header section and locate the Dropdown menu setting.
8. Select Content Width (System Pages) from the Dropdown menu.
   

   This makes the drop-down menu customizable and makes the width fit the content.

9. Click the Save button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
10. Click the OK button when saving is complete.
11. Click on the PAGES button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
    
12. Scroll down to the SYSTEM PAGES section and click on the + symbol to expand the Dropdown Menus tab.
    
13. Click on the menu item you want to edit.

    The menu is displayed in the Content Area as you would see it when it is expanded, containing default content. You can edit the menu content by deleting and adding widgets and configuring the settings as you would when customizing an entire page.

    
14. Delete the existing widget by hovering the mouse pointer over the widget and selecting Delete from the dropdown.
    
15. Click on the WIDGETS button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
16. Locate the List Of Links Widget in the BASIC section.
    
17. Click and drag the List Of Links Widget into the content area.

    The List Of Links Settings popup will be displayed with the Properties tab selected.

    
18. Select Single Link from the Link Type dropdown list.
    

    This lets you specify a single hyperlink to a page on your website or an arbitrary web address.

19. Select Web Address from the Link dropdown list.
    
20. Enter a name for the link in the Name field.
    
21. Enter the URL for the external site or page that you want to link the menu item to in the Web Address field.
    
22. Click OK to apply the changes.
23. Click on the Save button and then click on the Publish button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
