Prerequisites
- You must have Administrator access.

Why Configure Product Meta Information
Configuring meta information helps ensure your product pages are discoverable, relevant, and clearly represented in search results.
- Improve search visibility: Help search engines understand your product content.
- Control search result appearance: Define the title and description customers see in search listings.
- Increase click-through rates: Use compelling descriptions to attract more visitors.
- Manage indexing: Exclude low-value or duplicate pages from search results when needed.
How to Configure Product Meta Information
Step 1: Open the product in Admin
- Log into your DecoNetwork Website.
-
Browse to Admin → Products.

- Locate the product you want to edit.
-
Open the product by:
- Clicking the product name, or
- Clicking the product code, or
-
Clicking on the Manage button beside the product, then selecting Edit Product.

The product properties will be shown in the main work area, with a menu at the left to select property categories. General will be selected by default.
Step 2: Open the Meta Information settings
-
In the product settings menu (left-hand panel), click Meta Information.
The Meta Information settings will load in the main workspace.
Step 3: Configure the meta fields
- For each field you want to customize, enable Override default.
- Enter your product’s meta information:
-
Page title: Displayed in the browser tab and often used as the search result title.
Note: The page title automatically includes -[STORE_NAME], which is dynamically replaced with your store name.
-
Meta keywords: Optional keywords describing the product (used by search engines).

-
Meta description: A short summary that may appear in search engine results.

-
-
Optionally configure indexing:
- Enable Prevent search engines from indexing this page: to exclude the product from search results.
Note: Enabling indexing prevention adds a noindex meta tag to the page HTML, instructing search engines not to include the page in search results. This is useful for preventing duplicate content on the product page from coming up in the search results for your site and redirecting traffic to more relevant pages on your site.
Step 4: Save your changes
-
Click Save or Save and Continue.
Your updates will apply immediately, but search engines may take time to reflect the changes.
Best-Practice Tips
- Write clear, descriptive titles: Include the product name and key identifiers.
- Focus on readability: Write meta descriptions for humans, not just search engines.
- Avoid keyword stuffing: Use natural language instead of repeating keywords.
- Use overrides selectively: Only override defaults when you need more control.
- Apply noindex intentionally: Use it for duplicate, seasonal, or low-value pages.
