Add line item note to an order

Effective communication among production staff is paramount for maintaining consistency, reducing errors, streamlining workflows, and, most importantly, providing customers with top-notch service and products. DecoNetwork facilitates seamless communication of customer requirements and production instructions by offering a straightforward way to add internal production notes to line items in Business Hub. This guide will take you through the process of adding a production note to a line item in an order.

Prerequisites

• You must have the Administrator, Sales Manager, or Sales Team permission to use this feature.

To add a note to a line item in an order:

1. Log into your DecoNetwork website.
2. Browse to Business Hub > Orders.

3. Click View to load the order you want to edit.
   

   The order will be loaded in the main work area.

4. Click on Edit Order.
   

   The order will become editable.

5. Click on the cog at the end of the line item to reveal the Line Item Actions menu.
   
6. Select create line item note from the menu.

   The Add Internal Production Note popup will be displayed.

   
7. Enter a note into the Note text box.

   You can attach a file by clicking on the Attach New File button.

8. Click OK.

   The Note will be attached to the line item. This is indicated by a note icon at the start of the line item row. A popup containing the notes will show on hover and clicking the icon makes the popup sticky.

   

   Line item notes carry forward when the line item is re-ordered.
