Assign product group in bulk

When you have large product catalogs to manage, efficiency is paramount. Enter product groups—a powerful tool enabling you to quickly set default behaviors for clusters of products. Positioned between global settings affecting every product and individual product configurations, product groups serve as a productivity aid for configuring like-items in bulk. With product groups. configuring pricing, sizing, decoration areas, and shipping for an entire product category can be achieved with just a few clicks. Paired with the product group bulk assign feature, the task of making wide-scale product configuration changes becomes exponentially efficient. With even fewer clicks, granular adjustments can be made to select products without affecting the entire catalog. This article guides you through the steps of assigning a product group in bulk. Prerequisites

• You must have administrator access to use this feature

To assign a product group in bulk:

1. Log in to Admin.
2. Click Products.
   

   The main work area shows a categories list, a search bar, a bulk actions list, and an Apply Action command along with the list of products selected from supplier catalogs and other products you have added to DecoNetwork.

3. Tick the checkboxes of products you want to assign a product group to, then select Assign Product Group from the dropdown list.
   

   You can select all products on the page by clicking on the checkbox in the title row of the table.

   

   You can select all available products by clicking on the "Select all [x] products" link that appears at the end of the Bulk Action row after you have ticked the Select All checkbox.

   
4. Click Apply Action.

   A confirmation popup will appear, asking you to enter the number of products you want to modify in order to confirm the action.

   
5. Enter the number of products, then click OK.

   If you enter the incorrect number, a popup will be displayed prompting you to try again.

   

   If the correct number is entered, the Bulk Update Group page will be displayed.

   
6. Select a product group from the Product Group drop-down list.
7. Click Save.

   The Bulk Updating popup will be displayed showing the progress of the bulk action.

   

   Note that if you assign products to a product group that has been marked as inactive, they will be displayed in the Admin Product List with an inactive product highlight.
