Sort the order of blank product decoration areas

In this guide, we'll explore how to edit the sort order of the decoration areas configured for a blank product, which is crucial for maintaining consistency and ensuring that your designs are displayed exactly as you intend.

When a blank product is loaded into the Designer, the first decoration area in the sort order will be selected by default. This sort order becomes particularly important when creating decorated products in bulk. The designs are placed according to the sort order of the decoration areas on the blank product. For instance, if product A has the sort order: 1. left chest, 2. right chest, 3. body, and product B has the sort order: 1. right chest, 2. left chest, 3. body top half, a design placed on area 1 (left chest) of product A will be transferred to area 1 (right chest) of product B, and a design placed on area 3 (body) of product A will transfer to area 3 (body top half) of product B.

By understanding and customizing the sort order of decoration areas, you can ensure your designs are applied precisely where you want them, regardless of the product. Let's get started!

How to edit a blank sort order of the decoration areas on a blank product

1. Log into your DecoNetwork Website.
2. Browse to Admin > Products.

   

   

3. Select a product to configure by either:
   • Clicking on the product code.
   • Clicking on the product name.
   • Clicking on the Manage button beside the product you want to configure, then selecting Edit Product.
     

   The product properties will be shown in the main work area with a menu at the left to select property categories. General will be selected by default.

4. Select Views & Decoration Areas from the product properties menu.
   

   The main work area contains configuration options for views and decoration areas.

5. Scroll down to the Production Views and Decoration Areas section.
   
6. Use the up and down arrows to change the order of the decoration areas.
   
7. Click Save or Save and Continue when done.
