Make the Gift Certificates page available in my website

When you enable gift certificates for your store, you need to make sure the Gift Certificates page is available on your website for customers to purchase gift certificates from. You can provide access to the page via a button or link or you can make the page available as a sub-page.

Prerequisites

• Gift certificates need to be enabled for your store before you can make the Gift Certificates page available. Click here for instructions.

To make the Gift Certificate page available via a link

1. Load the Website Editor.
2. Click on the page from which you want to add the link to access the Gift Certificates page.
3. Click on the WIDGETS button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
4. Browse the Widgets tab to locate the List Of Links Widget in the ADVANCED section.
   
5. Click and drag the List Of Links Widget onto your website page.

   The List Of Links Settings popup will be displayed with the Properties tab selected.

   
6. Select Single Link from the Link Type drop-down list.
7. Select Gift Certificates from the Page link options drop-down list.
   
8. Click OK.
9. Click Save and then click Publish in the Page Settings Bar at the bottom of the screen.

To make the Gift Certificate page available via a button

1. Load the Website Editor.
2. Click on the page from which you want to add the button to access the Gift Certificates page.
3. Click on the WIDGETS button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
4. Browse the Widgets tab to locate the Button Widget in the BASICS section.
   
5. Click and drag the Button Widget onto your website page.

   The Button Settings popup will be displayed with the Properties tab selected.

   
6. Enter Gift Certificates into the Button Text field.
   
7. Click on Add Link.

   The Add Link popup is displayed.

8. Select the Website URL radio button.
   
9. Enter your website URL, followed by "/shop/gift_certificates" into the URL field.
10. Close the Add Link popup.
11. Click OK in the Button Settings popup.
12. Click Save and then click Publish in the Page Settings Bar at the bottom of the screen.

To make the Gift Certificate page available as a sub-page

1. Click on the DESIGN button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
   
2. Click on the PAGE OPTIONS menu item.

   The PAGE OPTIONS settings are displayed.

   
3. Select one of the following options from the Dropdown menu setting:
   
   • Specify Width (System Pages): makes the drop-down menu customizable and allows you to specify its width.

     Simply drag the sides of the menu container in the content area to adjust the width.

   • Content Width (System Pages): makes the drop-down menu customizable and makes its width fit the content.
   • Page Width (System Pages): makes the drop-down menu customizable and makes its width the full width of the page.
4. Click the Save button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
5. Click on the PAGES button in the Website Editor Toolbar.
6. Click Add at the right of the Products page tab.
   
7. Enter, "Gift Certificates", in the name field in the New Page name popup.
   
8. Click OK.
9. Click Save.
10. Click on the + symbol to expand the Dropdown Menus tab under SYSTEM PAGES.
    
11. Click on Products.

    The Products menu is displayed in the Content Area as you would see it when it is expanded, containing default menu content. The new Gift Certificates sub-page will appear in the menu.

    
12. Move the mouse pointer over the Gift Certificates link.
13. Click on the down arrow beside the List of Links widget icon.
14. Select List of Links Settings from the drop-down menu.
    

    The List of Links settings popup is displayed.

    
15. Select Single Link from the Link Type drop-down list.
16. Select Gift Certificates from the Page link options drop-down list.
    
17. Click OK.
18. Click Save and then click Publish in the Page Settings Bar at the bottom of the screen.

    The Gift Certificates menu item will now load the Gift Certificates page when selected on your website.
