Prerequisites
Before customizing system website pages using the Website Editor, ensure the following:
- You have one of the following user roles:
- Websites Manager – This role allows you to manage all websites (both primary and affiliate) within the fulfillment center.
- Web Developer – This role allows you to manage the primary website for the account.
- Blank product purchasing enabled (if you plan to show an Add to Cart button for blank items).
- At least one blank product visible in your store’s catalog.
Why Use This Page
The View Blank Product page is the shopper’s primary view of a blank item. Configuring it well:
- Improves product clarity — Choose layouts that highlight images, specs, and fit guides so buyers feel confident.
- Drives the right action — Emphasize Add to Cart, Request a Quote, or Customize based on your workflow.
- Reduces support questions — Surface sizing, shipping, and availability details where customers expect them.
Step 1: Open the View Blank Product page

Open the Website Editor and click the PAGES button in the Website Editor Toolbar.

Click on the + icon at the left of the Product tab to expand the Product pages menu.

The View Blank Product page is displayed in the Content Area of the Website Builder. The image below highlights the sections of the View Blank Product page. Use this as a reference for configuring the placement of items on the page.

Step 2: Open the widget settings

Hover the mouse pointer over the View Blank Product Widget, then click on the down arrow beside the product icon to open the widget menu, and choose View Blank Product Settings,.

Step 3: Configure layout & image gallery
- Configure the layout and image gallery settings for the View Blank Product Widget.

Image Panel Position: lets you choose the position within the View Blank Product Widget container where the blank product image will be displayed.

Show Inventory Levels Link: lets you choose whether a link to view inventory availability for the blank product will be displayed.

Custom fields are additional product options that the customer can choose from when they order a product, such as the choice of button color on a shirt.

Step 5: Configure pricing, taxes & availability
- Configure the blank product pricing, taxes and availability display.

Show prices for: sets what pricing to display next to the product thumbnail.
- System default: uses the Pricing display option configured in the Blank Product Display settings. (Admin > Products > Blank Product Display)
- Decoration prices: displays the prices for the available decoration processes only.
- 'No decoration' price: displays the price for the blank product only.
- Both 'decoration' and 'no decoration' prices: displays the prices for the combined blank product and available decoration processes.

Show prices for: sets what pricing to display next to the product thumbnail.
Step 6: Choose primary actions (buttons & links)
- Set the visibility of the primary actions.

Show Add to Cart Button: lets you choose whether the "Add to Cart" button is displayed on the View Blank Product Page. This setting will only be enabled if the Fulfillment Center setting for allowing store customization of the Allow Blank Product Purchase option is turned on. See the Blank Product Display article for instructions on how to configure the store customization setting for this option.
If the site is in price mode, this setting will be replaced with the Show Add to Quote Button option. See the How to Edit your Store Price Settings article for information about setting a store to price mode.
- Add to Cart Button Label: lets you modify the name that will appear on the Add to Cart button.
- Load Designer Button Label: lets you modify the name that will appear on the Load Designer button.

Show Social Sharing: lets you choose whether social sharing buttons will be shown for each item in the cart, allowing your customers to share the products they have purchased on their social media sites (i.e. Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook) and via email.

Show Full Product Description: lets you choose whether the full blank product description will be visible. If 'No' is selected, the description will be cropped and a View Description link will be available which will expand the description section when clicked.

- No: thumbnails for product views that have no decoration areas defined will be hidden.
- Yes: thumbnails for product views that have no decoration areas defined will be visible. Clicking on the thumbnail will display the large image preview for the view.

- Click on the Save button and then click on the Publish button at the right of the Page Settings Bar.
Best-Practice Tips
- Match action to workflow: If you quote most orders, prioritize Request a Quote and keep Add to Cart secondary or hidden.
- Prioritize images: Larger hero images lift confidence; ensure thumbnails are still easy to tap on mobile.
- Keep it scannable: Use tabs/expandable blocks to prevent long single-column walls of text.
- Answer pre-purchase questions: Add sizing charts and shipping estimates near the CTA to reduce friction.
Troubleshooting
- Add to Cart is missing → Enable blank product purchasing in store/product settings, then refresh the editor.
- Prices not visible → Confirm price visibility is enabled and the product has a valid price list.
- Stock link not showing → Turn on Show inventory levels link in this page’s settings and ensure inventory is tracked.
- Gallery overlaps on mobile → Switch thumbnail position to Below and reduce max image height.
