Order confirmation, status updates, and other order-related emails play a critical role in keeping your customers informed. One commonly overlooked setting in DecoNetwork is the Order Reply Email Address. When configured correctly, this setting helps ensure your order emails are trusted by email providers and are far less likely to land in a customer’s spam folder.

Prerequisites
- Admin access to your DecoNetwork account
- Access to your domain’s DNS (Domain Name System) settings (for example, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or another domain provider)
- An email address on your own domain that you want customers to reply to (for example, support@yourdomain.com)
Why the order reply email address matters
The Order Reply Email Address defines the email address customers see – and reply to – when they receive order-related emails from your DecoNetwork site.
- Helps prevent order emails from being flagged as spam
- Improves trust with email providers by aligning with your domain
- Ensures customer replies go to a monitored, branded inbox
Without the correct SPF (Sender Policy Framework) configuration, email providers may treat these messages as suspicious, even if everything appears to be working on the surface.
Step 1: Configure the order reply email address in DecoNetwork
- In DecoNetwork, go to Admin → Settings → Email & Order Templates → Order-Reply Email.
- Locate the Order-reply email address field.
- Enter the email address you want to use (for example, support@yourdomain.com).
- Save your changes.
Example of configuring the Order Reply Email Address in Admin settings.
Step 2: Update your domain’s SPF record
To authorize DecoNetwork to send emails on behalf of your domain, you must add its SPF information to your domain’s existing SPF record.
Locate your existing SPF record
- Log in to your domain provider (for example, GoDaddy).
- Open your DNS management page.
- Look for an existing TXT record that starts with
v=spf1.
Combine the DecoNetwork SPF entry
- Edit the existing SPF TXT record.
-
From the rules provided by DecoNetwork, copy only the
include:portion.DecoNetwork SPF rules
- Paste this
include:entry into your existing SPF record, before the final-allor~all. - Ensure there is only one ending (
-allor~all) at the end of the record. - Save the record. Set the TTL to 600 seconds if available.

Best-practice tips
- Always use an email address on your own domain, not a free email service.
- If you use Google Workspace or another email provider, keep its
include:entry in the SPF record. - Allow extra time for SPF propagation – it can take longer than standard domain changes.
- Test by sending an order email and checking spam folders after propagation completes.
Troubleshooting
-
Order emails still go to spam:
Double-check that the SPF record contains both your email provider and the DecoNetworkinclude:entry, and that there is only one SPF record. -
DNS provider does not allow “SPF” record types:
Use a TXT record instead – this is normal for many providers. -
Changes not taking effect:
SPF updates can take several hours or even up to 24 hours to fully propagate.
FAQs
-
What is the Order Reply Email Address used for?
It defines the email address customers see and reply to when they receive order-related emails such as confirmations and status updates from your DecoNetwork site. -
Will order emails still send if I don’t configure this?
Yes, emails will still send, but they are more likely to be flagged as spam by email providers if the Order Reply Email Address and SPF record are not configured correctly. -
Can I use a Gmail, Outlook, or other free email address?
It is strongly recommended to use an email address on your own domain (for example, support@yourdomain.com). Free email addresses are more likely to fail SPF checks and be marked as spam. -
Do I need a new SPF record for DecoNetwork?
No. You must update your existing SPF record by adding the DecoNetworkinclude:entry. Domains can only have one SPF record. -
I already use Google Workspace or another email provider – will this break it?
No, as long as you keep your existing email provider’sinclude:entry in the SPF record and simply add the DecoNetwork include alongside it. -
How long does it take for SPF changes to take effect?
SPF updates can take several hours and, in some cases, up to 24 hours to fully propagate across the internet.
