By default, websites in DecoNetwork operate in Order Mode, allowing customers to check out and pay immediately. However, for businesses that handle high-value, complex, or time-sensitive orders, it can be more effective to collect detailed quote requests instead of forcing immediate payment.
This article explains how Quote-Only Mode works, when to use it, and how to enable it for a website so customers can build a cart, upload artwork, and submit a quote request for review in Business Hub.

Why use Quote-Only Mode
Quote-Only Mode is ideal when orders require review before pricing or production can be confirmed.
- Reduce checkout pressure for customers placing large or high-value orders
- Review special requirements such as custom effects, artwork complexity, or rush deadlines
- Protect margins by verifying pricing before committing to production
- Collect complete order details without taking payment upfront
This is especially common for screen printers, embroiderers, and contract decorators where the final price may depend on quantities, artwork, or turnaround time.
How Quote-Only Mode works
When a website is placed into Quote-Only Mode:
- Customers can add products to a cart
- Artwork can be uploaded and quantities specified
- No payment is taken at checkout
- The cart is submitted as a quote request
Step 1: Enable Quote-Only Mode
- Go to Websites and open the website you want to update.
- Navigate to Store Configuration → Checkout Options.
- Enable Submit carts as quote requests instead of orders (no payment collected).
- Save your changes.
Enable Quote-Only Mode from the website’s pricing settings.
Step 2: Choose whether prices are shown
When Quote-Only Mode is enabled, you can decide whether pricing is visible on the site.
- Hide all pricing on website disabled – Pricing appears throughout the site, but checkout submits a quote request
- Hide all pricing on website enabled – No pricing is displayed anywhere on the site
What happens after a quote is submitted
When a customer submits a quote request:
- The request appears in Business Hub as a Requested Quote
- All customer details are captured, just like an order
- Line items are included if products were selected
You can review the request, adjust pricing if needed, and send it back to the customer as an official quote. Once approved, the quote can be converted into an order.
Best-practice tips
- Use Quote-Only Mode for high-value or custom orders where pricing may vary
- Clearly explain the quote process on your website to manage expectations
- Respond quickly to quote requests to maintain customer confidence
- Use notes in Business Hub to document special requirements or deadlines
Troubleshooting
- Customers still see checkout payment options – Confirm the site is set to Quote-Only Mode, not Order Mode
- Prices are not displaying – Check whether the Hide all pricing on website option is enabled
- Quotes not appearing in Business Hub – Verify you are viewing the Requested Quotes list
