Why control duplicate emails?
This option lets you decide whether customer email addresses must be unique across your DecoNetwork account. Requiring unique emails ensures accurate customer identity and prevents duplicate accounts. Allowing duplicate emails can make sense when multiple contacts use a shared email (e.g., small business customers).
Step: Change the duplicate email setting
You can control this behavior from Customer Options.
- Go to Admin → Websites → Customer Options.
- Locate the checkbox labeled Customers must use a unique email when registering.
- Choose your preferred behavior:
- Checked → Duplicate emails are not allowed.
- Unchecked → Duplicate emails are allowed.
- Click Save.

- If you work with business accounts where multiple users share the same email, allow duplicates and create contacts under a company account.
- If you require customer-specific order history and login authentication, enforce unique emails.
