Why return artwork to unapproved?
Returning an artwork task to an unapproved state allows you to safely make updates and confirm the final design with your customer before production continues.

How to mark an approved artwork task as unapproved

Open Artwork Approvals
Navigate to Business Hub → Artwork Approvals.

Go to the Artwork Complete tab
Click the Artwork Complete tab to view artwork tasks that have already been approved.
Approved artwork tasks are listed under the Artwork Complete tab.
These tasks will show a status of Approved.

Open the approved artwork task
Click on the artwork approval record you want to update to open its details page.
The Actions panel contains options for managing the artwork approval.

Mark the artwork as unapproved
In the Actions panel, click Mark as Saved (Unapproved).
This will return the artwork to an unapproved state so it can be updated.

Make updates and resend for approval
Apply any required changes to the artwork, upload the update artwork, then send it back to the customer for approval using the standard approval workflow.

Troubleshooting
Cannot see “Mark as Saved (Unapproved)”?
- The artwork may not be in the Approved state
- The task may not be opened from the Artwork Complete tab
- The linked order may already be fully produced
Changes not reflected?
- Refresh the page after updating the artwork status
- Confirm the artwork status has changed from Approved

Where do I find approved artwork tasks?
Approved artwork tasks are located in Business Hub → Artwork Approvals → Artwork Complete.
What happens when I mark artwork as unapproved?
The artwork status is reset, allowing edits and enabling the approval process to be repeated.
Will the customer be notified automatically?
The customer will be notified when you resend the artwork for approval, based on your email settings.
Can I approve the artwork again later?
Yes. Once updates are complete, the artwork can go through the normal approval workflow again.
