Assign a default sales rep to an affiliate store in DecoNetwork so every order placed on that store, whether through the website checkout or created directly in Business Hub, is automatically attributed to that salesperson. This makes it easy to track commissions, run sales reporting, and control which staff members are notified about which orders.
Watch the video below for a demonstration of adding a Sales Rep to a store, then follow the written guide below for detailed instructions.

Prerequisites
- You must have Administrator access.
- This feature is only available on multi-store plans.
- The staff account you want to assign must already be set up with an Admin, Sales Manager, or Sales Team role.
Why use this feature?
DecoNetwork can automatically track who's responsible for every order that comes through a specific affiliate store. Assigning a default sales rep saves you from manually assigning a salesperson to every quote and order, gives you a reliable field to export for commission calculations done outside DecoNetwork, and lets you scope staff notifications so a sales rep only hears about the orders that are actually theirs, not every order across your account.
- Automatically attribute orders to the right salesperson
- Simplify commission tracking and reporting
- Reduce manual assignment on individual quotes and orders
- Keep staff notifications relevant to the orders they own
Step 1: Open Store Checkout Options
- Log in to your DecoNetwork website.
- Browse to Admin → Websites.
- Click Manage beside the affiliate store you want to configure.
- Select Store Configuration → Checkout Options.

Step 2: Assign the Sales Rep
- Scroll to the bottom of Checkout Options to find Assign Salesperson section.
- Click the Salesperson field to open the dropdown list of available salespersons.
- Select the sales rep you want assigned to this store.
- Click Save.
Selecting the salesperson to assign to this store
Once saved, this salesperson is applied automatically to every order placed on this store going forward, whether it comes through the website checkout or is created directly in Business Hub for this store, without needing to be set manually on each one.
Best Practices
- Assign a sales rep at the store level when a whole affiliate store belongs to one person or team, rather than manually assigning orders one at a time.
- Use Export Orders to pull the salesperson field if you calculate commissions outside DecoNetwork.
- Review each sales rep's notification settings under Staff Accounts so they only receive alerts relevant to their assigned orders.
- Remember this assignment sets a default. It can still be overridden on an individual quote or order if needed.
Troubleshooting
Problem: The salesperson field isn't visible under Checkout Options.
Cause: This feature is only available on multi-store plans.
Solution: Confirm your subscription includes multi-store functionality, or contact DecoNetwork support if you believe this should be enabled.
Problem: Orders placed on this store aren't being assigned to the sales rep.
Cause: The salesperson wasn't selected and saved under Checkout Options, or the setting was changed after some orders were already placed.
Solution: Assigning a salesperson isn't retroactive. Confirm the setting is saved, and note it will only apply to new orders placed afterward.
Problem: A sales rep is receiving notifications for orders that aren't theirs.
Cause: Their staff notification settings are still using Use Default Notifications, which includes broader account-wide alerts.
Solution: Untick Use Default Notifications under Staff Accounts and select only the notifications relevant to their assigned orders.
FAQs
Does assigning a sales rep to a store affect existing orders?
No. It only applies to new orders placed on that store going forward. Existing orders keep whatever salesperson they were already assigned, or remain unassigned.
Does this apply to orders created manually in Business Hub too?
Yes. Once assigned, the salesperson is applied automatically to orders placed through the website checkout and to orders created in Business Hub for this store.
Can I still manually change the salesperson on an individual order?
Yes. The store-level assignment sets the default, but individual quotes and orders can still be reassigned to a different sales team member if needed.
How do I see which orders are attributed to a specific sales rep?
The salesperson appears as Sales Assigned on the Orders, Production, and Artwork Approvals lists in Business Hub, and is included as a column when you export orders.
