Convert an Order Back to a Quote

(yes there is another post but its from 5 years ago...)

It would be extremely useful to have the ability to convert an order back into a quote.

Yesterday, I accidentally clicked New Order instead of New Quote. The quote was quite substantial and took over 20 minutes to enter. Once I had finished, I realised it had been created as an order, which meant I couldn't send it for customer approval as a quote.

Adding a "Convert Order to Quote" option would:

• Prevent users from being locked into an order if it has been created by mistake.
• Save valuable time and reduce frustration.
• Improve workflow flexibility when an order is created before customer approval has been obtained.
• Allow users to convert an order back into a quote if a customer requests changes, making it easy to send a revised quote and obtain a second approval before proceeding.

Having the ability to convert between quotes and orders would be a simple but highly valuable improvement to the platform.
