A font is a set of text characters in a specific design style and size. Customers can choose from the fonts available in a web store's Online Designer to set the look of text that they add to a product.
Global Font Management settings control font settings that apply to all affiliate stores linked to your Fulfillment Center. These settings let you determine what fonts are available for your affiliate stores to use, and what rights affiliate stores have to manage their own fonts. This is useful for limiting the availability of fonts from the large collection provided to you to a subset that suits your business. You can limit fonts for regular use and also limit fonts specifically for team names.
Prerequisites
- This feature is only available on the Premium and Enterprise plans
- You must have administrator access to use this feature
In this article, you will learn how...
- To manage general font availability
- To restrict fonts available for team names
- To upload custom fonts
- To add special language characters for custom fonts
To manage general Font availability:
- Log into your DecoNetwork Website.
- Browse to Admin > Websites.
- Select Global Designer Settings, then Global Font Management.
The font management settings are displayed in the main work area.
The Options at the top control global access to the font-related settings for affiliate web stores.
- Manage available fonts toggles the ability to change your font settings. When this option is unticked, you will not be able to:
- allow affiliates to choose the fonts they want available in their stores
- allow affiliate stores to upload their own fonts
- choose which fonts you want to be available in affiliate stores
- Allow stores to sub-select their own availability will, when enabled, add an extra menu item in the affiliate website configuration menu that allows affiliate store administrators to make their own font selections from a subset of the globally available fonts. When enabled, affiliate store administrators will find font management settings under Designer Settings > Font Management. If not enabled, affiliate store administrators will not have access to font management settings.
- Allow stores to upload their own fonts will enable an Upload Custom Font button for affiliate store administrators on their font management configuration page, allowing them to upload their own custom printing fonts.
- Restrict fonts in team names will, when ticked, enable fonts to be limited for team names.
Below the options are the lists of presently installed fonts for each decoration process your Fulfillment Center supports. DecoNetwork provides a comprehensive font library, free of charge and without restriction.
The font list for each decoration process is displayed in its own tab.
The treeview on the left side of the screen lets you view the installed fonts by category. New printing fonts can be added via the Upload Custom Font button on the right-hand side of the breadcrumb and action bar.
- Manage available fonts toggles the ability to change your font settings. When this option is unticked, you will not be able to:
- Tick the Manage available fonts checkbox.
- Select the tab of the decoration type you want to manage fonts for.
- Select the fonts that you want to be available for the selected decoration type.
The table of fonts lets you choose the fonts that will be available for use as regular text and for use as team name text. Each font can be enabled or disabled.
For each decoration process, you can select a Default, which is the font that will be initially selected in the Online Designer.
- When you have finished selecting your fonts, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
Fonts in the Designer

- Show only Regular Text Fonts: will display only fonts currently selected for regular text.
- Show only Team Name Fonts: will display only fonts currently selected for team names.
The Team Name columns will only be available in the font table if the Restrict fonts in team names option is selected.
- Select the fonts and the default you want to be available for team names.
- Click Save at the bottom of the screen.
To upload custom fonts:

Once you have uploaded a custom font, you will have the opportunity to open the Custom Font Details popup again to modify the font. Click the modify link beside your custom font to modify it.
Click the delete link beside a custom font to remove it.
