You are the Fulfillment Center.
If you have just signed up for DecoNetwork, "Fulfillment Center" (FC) is the term this Help Center uses for your real world business: the shop, factory, or studio that decorates blank products (garments, mugs, signage, and so on) and ships finished orders to customers. Everywhere you see "FC" or "Fulfillment Center" in these articles, it means you.
Prerequisites
- You have signed up for a DecoNetwork account and are logged in
The two sides of DecoNetwork
DecoNetwork is built around two main work areas, and understanding the difference between them is the single most useful thing you can learn before going further in this Help Center.
- Admin is where you configure your business: suppliers, products, decoration processes, shipping methods, banking details, and staff logins. You reach it from the Admin link in the top bar.
- Business Hub is where you and your team run the business day to day: creating quotes and orders, managing artwork approval, processing production, and shipping. See Business Hub for a full walkthrough.
In short: Admin sets the rules, Business Hub is where the work happens.
Admin vs Business Hub
What you configure in Admin
Admin covers everything that defines how your Fulfillment Center operates, including:
- The suppliers, products, and decoration processes you offer
- Shipping methods and banking details
- Team member logins for the staff who will operate DecoNetwork on your behalf
If you are on the Premium or Enterprise plan, Admin also controls how any Affiliate stores connected to your business will appear, what they are allowed to sell, and how their operators can interact with your Fulfillment Center. If this doesn't apply to your plan, you can skip the next section for now.
If you are on Premium or Enterprise: the Affiliate relationship
DecoNetwork lets a Fulfillment Center on the Premium or Enterprise plan run a network of Affiliate stores, additional websites that sell your products under their own branding. Read The Affiliate for a full explanation of this role.
The relationship works one way: settings you make as the Fulfillment Center act as the master configuration for every Affiliate store connected to you. Your settings can override what an Affiliate sets, and they determine which options are even visible to an Affiliate in the first place. An Affiliate can never see or offer more than what you have made available to them.
Reporting
Admin also gives you access to reporting, so you can check on the performance of your business, your products, and (if applicable) your Affiliate stores, all from one place.
What's next
Now that you understand the difference between Admin and Business Hub:
- If you plan to run Affiliate stores, read The Affiliate next.
- Otherwise, continue to Using the Admin Interface to start configuring your business.
