Depending on commercial arrangements it may be favorable to override all calculated pricing and simply charge a specific amount for a given product. While flexible, this can become an inefficient way of managing your product pricing, so use this procedure with caution.

Why manually set product pricing
DecoNetwork normally calculates pricing using supplier cost plus markup. Manual pricing is useful when you need to charge a specific amount for a product (for example, a contracted price, a fixed promotional price, or a negotiated arrangement).
- Lock in a specific blank product price (instead of supplier cost + markup).
- Override store markup for a specific decorated product at the affiliate level.
- Maintain consistent pricing for specific products where automatic updates aren’t desired.
Important: Products with manually overridden prices will not be updated automatically if a supplier changes the product cost. Review manually priced items regularly to protect margins.
Step 1: Manually set a product price as a Fulfillment Center
Manually setting the price of a product as the Fulfillment Center overrides the supplier’s cost and the markup being applied to that cost. You are manually entering the Blank Product Price, on top of which decoration fees will be added to generate the recommended retail price (RRP).
- Log in to Admin.
- Click Products.
- Edit the product you wish to set the price of.
- Select Pricing in the Inner Menu.
- Edit the Blank Product Price.
- Choose Specify a blank product price, and choose the pricing model you wish to use.
- Save your changes.
Note: If supplier pricing changes later, you’ll need to review and update any manually set blank product prices yourself.
Step 2: Manually set a product price as an Affiliate Store
An Affiliate may wish to ignore their specified markup and set a specific retail price for a product.
- Log in to Admin.
- Click Manage for the store you want to update.
- Select Decorated Products.
- Select the product to set the price of.
- Deselect Use store markup.
- Enter the new price into the Retail box.
- Click Save.
Important: Overriding the retail price does not change the sales commission being offered by the Fulfillment Center for selling the product at RRP. If the new retail price is less than RRP, the affiliate will always make less sales commission.
Best-practice tips
- Use manual pricing sparingly: It’s powerful, but can be hard to maintain across a large catalog.
- Keep a list of overrides: Track which products have manual pricing so they’re easy to review later.
- Schedule margin checks: Re-check manually priced items whenever supplier costs or decoration fees change.
- Validate the storefront result: After saving, confirm the displayed retail price matches your intent (including any decoration fees and rounding rules).
Troubleshooting
The price didn’t change after I saved.
- Confirm you edited the correct field (Blank Product Price for FC pricing vs Retail for affiliate decorated product pricing).
- Make sure you clicked Save after changing the price.
- If you use product groups or store-level pricing rules, confirm they aren’t overriding what you expect.
My prices are out of date after a supplier cost change.
- Manually priced products will not update automatically. Review the product’s pricing and update your manually specified price as needed.
FAQs
Does manually setting the Fulfillment Center price include decoration?
No. When you manually set pricing as a Fulfillment Center, you are entering the Blank Product Price. Decoration fees are added on top when DecoNetwork generates the recommended retail price (RRP).
Will manual pricing update if the supplier changes their cost?
No. Products with manually overridden prices will not have their prices updated by the supplier. If supplier pricing changes, you must review and update the manually set price yourself.
How does overriding the retail price affect affiliate commission?
Overriding the retail price does not change the sales commission offered by the Fulfillment Center for selling at RRP. If the affiliate’s overridden retail price is lower than RRP, the affiliate will earn less commission.
How does this affect oversize (e.g., XXL+) charges?
Oversize pricing is typically managed through the product’s size-based pricing configuration. After manually setting pricing, review the product’s pricing/size matrix to confirm any size premiums (like XXL+) still behave as expected for your setup. If you need consistent oversize surcharges, ensure they are configured in the product’s pricing rules for the relevant sizes.
Can I revert back to calculated pricing later?
Yes. Return to the same pricing area and remove the manual override (for example, by switching away from “Specify a blank product price” or re-enabling Use store markup at the affiliate level), then save your changes.

How does this then affect oversize charges? Starting at say, $12, and plus $2 starting at XXL.
