This is Part 2 of the Shopify ↔ DecoNetwork integration series. In Part 1 you prepared your Shopify store; here you’ll enable the integration inside DecoNetwork by installing the Shopify Order Fulfillment app at the Fulfillment Center (FC) level. Turning this on unlocks the DN screens and permissions you’ll use in later steps to connect a Shopify store, map products/designs, and move orders into production in Business Hub.
Use this guide if you’re an FC operator planning to fulfill orders for one or more Shopify stores—either your own or a client’s. Installing the app is safe and reversible: it doesn’t import orders yet, change Shopify data, or alter any customer-facing content. It simply enables the DN-side capabilities so you can complete the connection and mapping flows that follow.
After completing this step, you’ll proceed to Part 3 to establish the live connection between your DN affiliate store and a Shopify store, and then Part 4 to configure product/design mappings and workflow preferences (e.g., automatic submission vs. quotes-first). Done end-to-end, the integration eliminates duplicate data entry, reduces errors, and centralizes order statuses in Business Hub—so you can scale fulfillment confidently across multiple Shopify stores.

Prerequisites
- You have a DecoNetwork Fulfillment Center account.
- You have administrator access in DN.
- You (or your customer) have a Shopify store you intend to connect in a later step.
Why enable the DN ↔ Shopify integration
Connecting Shopify to DN streamlines order flow and reduces manual work:
- Automated intake: Shopify orders can flow into DN for production without duplicated data entry.
- Fewer errors: Centralizes order details and statuses in DN Business Hub.
- Scale with confidence: Standardizes how multiple Shopify stores feed a single FC.
Step 1: Install the Shopify Order Fulfillment app
- Log into your DecoNetwork website.
- Browse to Admin and select the yellow + Apps Store button at the bottom of the Main Menu.
- Scroll to the Affiliate Store Management section.
- Click Add now on the Shopify Order Fulfillment app.
Step 2: Review your next steps in the integration flow
After installation, complete the connectivity and mapping steps:
- Connect your DN affiliate store to the Shopify store (establish the link and authentication).
- Configure product mappings so DN knows which products/designs correspond to Shopify products.
See the Additional Resources below for the dedicated connection and mapping guides.
Best-Practice Tips
- Use a test affiliate store first: Validate the end-to-end flow before going live with a customer store.
- Confirm DN roles: Ensure the installer has Admin rights; restricted roles may not see the Apps Store.
- Coordinate with the Shopify owner: You’ll need their help shortly to finalize the connection and approve permissions.
- Document your mapping rules: Keep a quick reference of how Shopify products map to DN products/designs.
Troubleshooting
-
App Store isn’t visible
Verify you’re logged into the Fulfillment Center account and have administrator access. Log out/in to refresh menu permissions. -
Can’t find “Shopify Order Fulfillment”
Confirm you’re viewing the Affiliate Store Management section within the Apps Store. If still missing, check plan/feature availability with Support. -
Install button is disabled
Ensure there aren’t org-level restrictions on app installs. Try a different admin account or contact Support to review permissions.
FAQs
Do I need to connect to Shopify immediately after installing?
No—installation can happen first in DN. You’ll complete the connection and product mapping in the subsequent steps.
Can I uninstall the app later?
Yes. If you uninstall, the connection will stop; re-enable by reinstalling and reconnecting.
Does the app change existing orders?
The app enables integration; order handling follows your configured workflows once the connection and mappings are in place.
